not what i remember. he struggled to his feet, he was on wobbly legs, nearly went down again.

although props for fighting out of it. And i think he'd recovered by the end of the round. and if there was another round, he would have come out fine.

 

Sergio ran into the ropes and I think that broke his concentration which made it easier for Jr to land clean shots. Fair play though. Legit knockdown. Sergio was not going to lie down, he wanted that fight too much. Kinda reminded me of Marquez after he hits the canvas.

In a weird way I'm a bit surprised the ref didn't stop the fight, considering the many bull**** calls lately. But the boxing gods saved Sergio, thankfully.

 

He was definitely hurt bad, he was on noodly legs for the rest of that round. Another 10-15 seconds he could of been out of there/

Yeah he was definitely hurt. That happens, especially when you've been beating the **** out of a light heavyweight for 11 rounds. I'm surprised he had enough left in his tank to get up and fight back.
Martinez is a special fighter....AMD much respect to Jr as well. Took his ass whoppin like a man and almost pulled it out in the 12th

This one night pretty much made up for a lame year of boxing
