Has Golovkin lived up to the hype? Well obviously not, but then the hype surrounding Golovkin was ridiculous, nobody was going to live up to that.

 

Ward has proven that he has no equal in this era,Kovalev outboxed him in the first which surprised many but Ward made his adjustments and to date nobody has been able to get down with him and fight in that dogged,ugly fashion.
Horrible to watch but as a GGG fan I kinda know what Ward would do against him and I'd have Ward a clear favourite.
This guy doesn't understand pro boxing and I'll bet you anything this prune didn't even enjoy or appreciate AJ v Wlad.
I'm gonna try and forget the judging farce of the other night as I don't wanna let it cloud my mind of what was a very good technical fight between two top boxers.

 

Well that's true enough,I mean if you wanted any proof of that just look at the Kudos Brook got for lasting five rounds and likewise Jacobs for surviving twelve,GGG himself said after that fight that "I'm a boxer"as if to reiterate that folk expect him to blow everything away.

 

Ward has no equal in this era between the weight classes of 168 and 175. But he is not unbeatable. Andre is probably the bes p4p boxer in the sport at the moment, but there are other fighters who are in the conversation. I agree GGG wouldn't be able to beat Andre h2h. I think his level of skill and craft surpasses almost everyone else operating in the sport no matter what division we pull from. The GGG vs Alvarez fight was a great fight. A true boxing chess match. I'm disappointed in the controversial outcome myself but unfortunately this was almost expected

Golovkin has always been a bit overhyped but that's almost entirely due to a whole division trying to duck him at one point. His potential opponents reluctance to share a ring was him was where all this **** came from.

 

Andre Ward literally needed officials to defeat Kovalev, and people are talking about his mythical boxing genius, lmao.

 

No, without loaded gloves you muppet. Had Margo loaded up his gloves for that fight, Cotto would have ended up like Billy Collins or even worse. So there were no loaded gloves in that fight. And Cotto didn't have the balls to pursue an immediate rematch with Margarito, he waited till Margo's eye was injured and even then he needed a premature stoppage because Margarito started tagging him late.

I still have no idea how Andre Ward is p4p number 1, top 10 definitely but not a clear number 1 like everyone makes him out to be, he got beat by Kovalev twice, the 2nd fight was a massive disgrace to boxing, even more so than Kov - Ward 1,

 

GGG was never a monster. He was just a bumkiller who had fought nobody. Unlike Canelo who had the best resume and has fought everybody. That is why Canelo needed all the help he can get from the judges to fight a bumkiller who never fought anyone good.
