Not from America. There weren't ten people in the entire country that had heard of him. After the BHOP and RJJ fights there still aren't ten people in the US that have heard of him.

Thought it has been pretty decent. I enjoyed Froch V Kessler, Froch V Abraham, Johnson V Green, Froch V Ward, Ward V Kessler, Abraham V Taylor and Froch V Johnson fights. I even went against the grain and thought Froch V Dirrell was an ok fight (more intriguing than a war though).

At the time the super-middle had no stand out stars and over that period we saw a good competitive tournament which featured 8 boxers (9 if you include the Bika friendly) and now we have super middle champ and a main competitor in Bute. Froch and kessler can square of again whilst Dirrell is still young enough to be competitive in the future.

It was a good way to kick start the division after Calzaghe retired and beforehand no one knew who Ward or Dirrell were as well as Froch being obscure outside of England.

Pipe down it was a great tournament and we got some top fights out of it.

Because Wales is not the home of boxing. Americans do not need to leave home, unless they want to travel to try and take a belt off someone. Even then, that's rare.

Yea I'm taking my hat off to Showtime for 'trying' but it's been an utter failure. The entire tournament was a failure, it failed to generate any excitement, it didn't produce big fan interest nor any memorable fights.

This isn't Andre Ward's fault but let's face the truth: If the S6 had never happened, would we be off so much worse right now?

Very good tournament if a little drawn out. Ward maybe boring as **** but he's a bloody good fighter and a worthy winner.

but he fough eubank in england, americans never have to go into the lions den like that, its all favoured for the americans to try and keep them on top as most of the money and abc's are there, even with all these advatnges they are not

There is no real reason for him to leave. He will make more money in the states. So would his opponents.
    Calzaghe was hiding his title.
Bute said he wants to fight in the states, NYC if i remember.

A little bit too long and Bute wasn't invited but for the rest it was a great idea and a good tournement. There was some close decisions where the home fighter got the edges but this is boxing.

calzaghe was hiding his title? a welshman fighting an englishman in england is a more threatening atmosphere than any american p4p boxer has ever faced, thats a fact, he routinely did this on his way up, it wasnt until after eubank he became 'british' rather than just 'a welshman'

Totally right OP. Let's face the truth. Ward is an average fighter and everybody else in the super 6 were just bums and got exposed.
