Dont mean to nit pick - but I think he is actually 6ft 3.

Come on - he was a big Crusierweight but a small Heavyweight.

So if you like - he is some where in between.

He was a career crusierweight - who then left the divison - so you would have to say he is blown up a bit.

Look at his skeleton frame - underneath the muscles he has built on top - there is no way he is as naturally big as your average heavyweight.

    He is a smaller man.

Anyway - Scurlarantings - ESB's Voice of Authority - said Haye is just a Crusierweight who is too lazy to do his roadwork. (so now fights at heavyweight) - thats good enough for me. :bart

I don't think thats true, but even if it is...its irrelevant. Haye is much more dangerous than Ibragimov, and has the capability to be just as awkward for Wlad.

Sultan isnt a bigger puncher than Haye but I think he was better.Mayweather changed his style and even though he won the title it eventually ruined him.

In what respect was Ibragimov better? Ibagimov spent the whole fight nullifying Klitschko and nothing else, he did nothing of substance. Forget that, I think you'll see in this fight why Haye is superior to Ibragimov.

We havent seen Haye in with Klitschko yet so we dont know how its going to go(I think Haye will get stopped in 4 rds though;-) )
I think Sultan was more skilled and a better fighter than Haye and gets a lot of **** for that Wlad performance(rightly so)and people forget he was a good fighter.Like I said, the switch to Mayweather ruined him IMO.

Deep down I think even 90% of those picking Haye to win don't really believe it. It's pure fan support, not cold calculated result prediction. Heart rather than head.
Haye's got nothing on his record to suggest he can beat Wladimir Klitschko, nothing to suggest he's better than Chagaev, Chambers or Ibragimov. If he didn't have the talent for self-publicity and wasn't British, he'd be viewed as another feeble long shot in a parade of mediocre challengers.

Then again, Wladimir has to lose again sometime.

To be honest, Iggy was pretty average against Holyfield and Ray Austin. Saying he's more skilled is like saying Chagaev is more skilled. They may well be more fundamentally sound, but the fact is they'e not a threat in any way shape or form. Neither can punch, neither are explosive. They're just not a threat to somebody like Klitschko with their counterpunching styles.

The people going on about Haye being another challenger like Sam Peter, Eddie Chambers and Ruslan Chagaev are well off base and really don't understand styles in my opinion.

Well its kind of the theme of the OP I wrote.

Basically - away from Britain - those of neutral view - just see Haye as Wlads latest challenger.

Just like Bruno in 89 - all Britain was behind him - but to the rest of the world he was just Tysons latest Challenger.

the Pizza face brigade will be well and truly silenced on July 2nd, Haye is gonna annihilate him

A lot of people have really been taken in by Wlad, not only his charm offensive but also his overrated abilities.

Haye is gonna win simply because he is a better fighter than Wlad is, plain and simple.

Anybody that sees him as 'the next challenger' along the lines of that lot has a screw loose and needs to watch some footage instead of spouting this nonsense. Watch Ruslan Chagaev, and Samuel Peter. Then watch David Haye. This isn't rocket science here, its about recognizing what your eyes should be seeing and drawing a very obvious conclusion which is that David Haye is a more serious threat than all 3 of those names combined. Eddie Chambers? Now he really is a cruiserweight, one that can't punch as well. What in Gods name was he going to do, stand there outboxing Klitschko with his featherfists?
