I understand this, but IMO PW is still legit at MW. Wright might be a career LMW, yet he still took Taylor's and Hopkins' shots pretty well unlike Pavlik, because he didn't got hit flush. I think Williams can avoid getting hit flush for most of the time, and it'd be a great fight from that point, 50/50 in my book.

I think this is good for Kelly, good for Williams and good for us. What is actually better out there now that AA is gone?

He hasnt shown any indications of a suspect chin and also his defense has been improving alot. Its all about being hit and not hit and I would say today that Pavlik is easier to hit than Williams so I think Pavlik will have his hands full.

Williams hasnt been at 147 for a while and has moved up so he is a legit middle now. Plus while Pavlik being a big middle is an advantage it is also a disadvantage in that he will be weaker at 160 than he is at 168 because its harder for him to make the weight.

That's my problem with the fight. Paul in no way has shown me he can avoid getting hit cleanly. As a matter of fact he gets hit too cleanly,

    Mitchell
    Verno
    Quintana
    Wright

    all hit him too cleanly.

I've been watching P-dub since the his Shobox days and his chin can be shook. He actually freezes up for a quick second when he gets hit.

Fair enough. But getting hit is a defensive and not a weight issue. He can put on 5 pounds of real muscle in a training camp to be a full MW, and if he still gets hit flush by Pavlik, he's going to lose because of that and not because of not being a legit MW. :nut He can get into MW condition right now, in a few month between signing the contract and fighting the fight. Can he get into beating Pavlik condition is another question, I don't know. That's why I'd like to see it.

Ya know what -- I'm always screaming at people to do their freaking research before they start typing, and from now on I promise to PRACTICE WHAT I PREACH. Ring not only has PWilly at #10 P4P, they also have him #3 at 160. Taking that into consideration, I'd say ya, make the fight. However, I still have to part company with you on the whole "one fight and redemption" idea. KP needs to get back to his old work ethic, and start knocking mother****ers out left and right like he did on the way up.

I don't think he can take a middleweight punch right now.
