So far a trailer has been posted to youtube and a facebook group set up. Appears intended to be completed this year but I imagine that will be delayed.

For anyone unfamiliar, Classen died from injuries fighting Wilford Scypion at the Felt Forum in 1979. It was televised at the time but footage has been all but unavailable since.

Looks like an interesting project, hopefully it will be released soon.

Poche stores has the fight on the Scypion dvd. I don't think Scypion was ever the same. Thanks for the trailer upload.

I don’t think it was nationally televised. Regional in the NY area most likely. It was on a Friday night and that was the main event ... which wouldn’t have been a fight of national interest for a network.

probably a good thing, we fights probably wouldn't have been televised for another decade (Griffith-Paret III) lol

It got a lot of national publicity with reports on network TV news and in newspapers across the country. I remember reading about it.
