There's absolutely no reason to be excited for Cotto-Martinez

    Cotto isn't even the No. 1 light middleweight division. Let alone, a decently sized one.

    Yet, here he is fighting the premier Middleweight in the world. And, for some reason, people actually give a ****.

    Cotto has the better jab, but at a clear disadvantage in every other facet of the sport.

    God forbid, Cotto pulls out a win -- Mayweather will jump all over that for a cheap way of claiming a MW strap.

    It is hard to get excited about this fight given the Trout fight. Happy to see Sergio get his retirement bonus prior to fighting Golovkin.

    They're both big names so that's why this fight is getting interest.

    I see a fat and slow Miguel Cotto with no pop in his punches getting badly cut up in the first 4 rounds and possibly getting put to sleep with a big left hook.

    This fight is an abomination. Especially considered it's purses and profile.

    I am not dumping on the fighters for earning money. Lord knows the sport chews up and spits out it's fare share.

    I don't really care bout this fight either
    But I focus on the fights I do. If people don't like this fight then don't watch it. Martinez is finished anyway so I couldn't give a **** who he fights.
