Both guys have a question mark as to what they have left in the tank ..This should make it for an entertaining fight .

Martinez will be moving alot on a bad knee, add body shots to that and his face getting pummpled with a jab because he doesnt keep his hands =beatdown :bbb:bbb

    There nothing alike :patsch:patsch

Trout has a jab, better defense, in his prime. Martinez has longer, reach more power. they fight nothing alike, i dont get comparsion at all

After Martinez knocks out Cotto, he will fight Golovkin next. I suspect he will lose to Golovkin and finally retire rich...............by the way, even with the injuries he should still be able to knock Cotto out.........

He has to realize that Cotto can't even knock Pacquiao out, let alone the bigger and much stronger Martinez.. But, all the credit goes to Cotto for fighting the best boxers on this era.. :deal

Martinez has the chance but he can get KO too! Martinez does not keep his hands up and has been dropped 4 of his last 5 fights. This is not a slow pavilk or Chavez, this is dangerous puncher that is coming for history

This isn't the first time Cotto moves up and he already requested a catchweight to make things more favorable for him. I'm very excited for this fight, it's going to be action packed for sure and both fighters have a shot. Both fighters are past it which is why both have a shot.

Having said all that if I was Sergio, this is exactly the sort of fight I would take to dip my toe back in the water.
Even Sergio himself won't really know if he is over his injuries until he has an actual fight.
Cotto is ideal for that purpose.
But if Sergio struggles with Cotto, or his injuries flare up again.....he should walk away from boxing immediately.

I don't know how much has Sergio in the tank but he is again with Gaby Sarmiento, who is a much better trainer than his brother Pablo.

If Maravilla is not able to KO Cotto he should think about retirement.

I favor Cotto in this fight. Martinez can't come out like in his last fight if he is looking to see the final bell here. Cotto seems reinvigorated since linking up with Freddie Roach.

You are obviously not a New Yorker. This will be a huge event and the Gardens will be rammed for this one.The Puerto Ricans and other Cotto fans(like me) consider this a can't miss event and coupled with the parade and the PR festival this is a weekend that you cannot miss. Can't wait!

Bigger men with fast hands and quick feet who fight from the outside and use lots of movement and like to counter.

But if you're stuck on more strict style comparisons, then lets look at Pacquiao-Cotto.

In either case, Martinez brings a KO punch to the table over the previous Cotto opponents.

Martinez style is a young mans style. He could be done. Its unknown. If he's still in any way what he used to be , Cotto is in for spanking.

Its a gamble. Good fight. Will watch.

Yes thats true dino. I suppose its a gamble sergio has to take. What choices does he have - either walk away now or take a "tester "fight to find out for sure if he still has "it".

If he cant dominate and stop Cotto he should walk away.
