Do you honestly believe Leonard believe what he says? Prime Leonard would embarras Mayweather. Leonard has beaten Wilfredo, Duran, Hearns, Hagler but yet you think he really mean it by saying Floydwould beat him in his prime???

 

Yeah, I'll actually go and say that Taylor, Norris, and Whitaker are just as fast or faster.

 

When did SRL say that? I know before the Mosley-Mayweather fight, they asked Hearns about who would win between May and Sugar, and he picked Sugar. I wasn't aware SRL had made any comments personally about how a matchup between the two would go.

 

I like Mayweather but he wouldn't beaten a prime Hearns or Hagler.

SRL also told Emanuel Steward that he would have hated to face Yuri Foreman, that he would be a great challenge to any fighter. Sugar Ray Leonard. Said that about Yuri Foreman. Riiiiiight... SRL blows so much smoke up people's asses, he should be boycotted by the EPA.

He also said that Joe Calzaghe would beat him in his prime! I dont take none of that serious but when someone says something complimentary about someone you love so dearly then you cant help but take it serious. Ain't that right Jacory!

 

Actually, SRL is one of the few guys in history I'd favor over Floyd. But I don't think he's faster than May or Pac. Not by much at least.

Leonard, himself, was the target of steroid accusations leading up to his rematch with Thomas Hearns in 1989.
