Only fighter ive seen that was faster than SRL was Meldrick Taylor. Although a Prime Camacho was comparable.

There was a JL name Ed Hopson who was super fast an reminded me of the 2nd coming of Meldrick Taylor but he had a glass Jaw.

Oh yeah RJ at Mw his speed was on par with SRL.

Money, Taylor, Roy Jones, Pac is close, Naz was close, Khan, hell even calzaghe was not too far off. SRL was indeed fast but atheletes are getting faster stronger etc.

Calzaghe is not on the same planet as Leonard when it comes to speed. PFP Naz isnt either hell Naz isnt even as fast as SRL period despite being 20 to 25 lbs lighter. Pac is damn fast but not there. Money is close but not quite. Khan is pretty damn fast. Of the guys you mentioned only Taylor an Prime Jones. Mentioning Calzaghe being not to far off is a joke:lol:

:patsch:patsch Camcho, Pacquiao, Mayweather and Taylor all have faster hands. But Leonard would whip all of them.

How ironic then, that you are an ESB member yourself. I suppose your some kind of ****ing guru?
All you've done is come to the table with a "my dad will beat your dad" type of arguement and used not one fact to back it up. Some people have responded with reasonable arguement and you have shrugged it off with "naw" or "nope". Yeah pal, your a ****ing genius.

SNV has the greatest handspeed ever, fact. because of the anti-russian conspiracy in boxing very few people know that SNV's fights are not actually broadcast live as they have to be played to the masses in slow motion as his scorching handspeed would burn peoples retinas resulting in a massive lawsuit against SNV. He could of course defend himself perfectly in a court of law through his umatched eloquence, charisma and supreme intellect but it would waste valuble time that he could better use to write poetry, overturn 3rd world debt, cure AIDS, kill bears and **** :)

Camacho faster in 1997 but not earlier. Ray was an idiot for not having a win since 1989 and fighting Camacho.. And Camacho never beat a prime great. Ray beat several. Camacho does not deserve to be mentioned with Ray.

    Apparenytly Roy was :

    Article by John Scully
I saw Gerald (McClellan) a month later at Sugar Ray's training Camp in Maryland and he told me he wouldn't be able to spar for a while longer because his jaw was still hurting from the fight with Roy. A very interesting thing that came out of the relationship between Roy and Sugar is the fact that Roy Jones Sr. has a video tape of the two of them sparring each other. How much would a collector pay to view that tape?? I visited Pensacola in July of this year (2003) and, as usual, I stopped in to see Big Roy train the amateurs in the gym on his property. I brought up the tape and told him I know for sure that he could get that it on-line and make a good chunk of money selling copies of it. I had a guy that sells video tapes tell me that one of his biggest sellers was the 2 rounds of sparring he has on tape of Roy and I sparring as amateurs. Imagine what Roy and Sugar Ray Leonard on tape would go for?? The funny thing... what is important to one person is not always important to another. Not only did Big Roy have no interest in parting with the video but I would be willing to guess that it would take him much more than a few minutes of searching his house to even find the thing. I guess after all he has seen his son do, the sparring is in some ways just another sparring session that is on tape somewhere."

"After the Olympics were over it was time for everyone to make their pitch to Roy and his Dad to see who would end up as his Promoter. I have heard that Emmanuel Steward, Don King and all the others made their play. I myself, along with most of the guys that came up with Roy in the amateurs, assumed he was going to sign with Sugar Ray Leonard. I mean, I can remember at the 88' Nationals when Ray was on the local TV station in Colorado Springs talking about what a great prospect Roy was and when I was in camp with them it was pretty clear that Ray had the inside track on signing him up. Whatever happened, it ended up that Roy went into the game under the guidance of his Dad with the help of Pensacola Attorney's Stanley and Fred Levin."

I agree that Ray would have perhaps agreed to spar Roy for historical reasons (to gauge if he truly was the heir apparent), but perhaps more importantly, Ray was trying to gain the insight track on managing Roy's career as Mr. Scully suggests.

Someone mentioned that Ray commented on sparring with Roy during the '88 olympics, and said something to the effect that Roy was too fast for him

No thats bull**** they actually got into a heated argument over who would have won.I believe I read it in ESPN the magazine.
Now I dont care for either of them but SRL would have beated Floyds ass.
