    Guerrero.

Floyd could have fought Martinez, Pac, Canelo etc. ****, he could have fought ANYBODY credible, but "The Ghost"? Hilarious stuff again. RG beats Andre Berto @ WW. RG's record at WW is thin as ****!

It astounds me how people fall for this ****! This does NOTHING for Floyd's legacy, nothing. Just another meaningless fight which Floyd will win and then face some no mark in September, win and retire for 18 months again. See you in 2014... Just **** off and retire for good.

****ing bull****. His resume since 2007 is shocking. **** Pac as well (just getting that in before the *****'s call me a *******) hopefully he retires.

The day Floyd retires for good will be a great day for Boxing. The man just doesn't give a **** about Boxing anymore...

The DLH fight was the worst thing that happened to Floyd, from a Boxing/Legacy point of view.

This is what Floyd gets for being so great at 36 in the twilight of his career. Expectations that few fighters in history have ever been demanded of at the same stage. It's an OKAY fight, I'll watch for sure. The RING Magazine is trashed though, indefinitely.

I dont think Guerrero does much for his legacy at this point but to be honest there isn't much available especially at 147Lbs......

Martinez tied up and likely too big anyway if we are being honest.

    Pacquiao just got ktfo

    Marquez he completely dominated.

Who else is there at 147lbs that is credible?

I would personally prefer he just fight Canelo and get it over with even though I dont rate him that highly either but at least people believe he can win.

Hilarious. He has been ducking the best since 2007 when he was 31 which is hardly ancient.

You know as well as I do that it's another pointless fight.

    - first he'll lower your expectations (i need a tune up fight, fight once a year, possible fight against a 52 y/o, not into boxing right now).
    - then he'll announce that he's fighting someone great (Guerrero #10 P4P, Canelo young, hungry, big and strong) :rofl:patsch
    - then he'll hype it like it's the fight of the century (young hungry lion, rejuvenated, coming off his biggest win, just beat this just beat that)
    - then he'll use some names people want to hear (Pacquiao you're next, Sergio, etc)

Floyd's last fight was at 154... Why not try and make a fight with Canelo or get Martinez to come down?

There is ALWAYS an excuse with Floyd. He could have fought ****ing Pac 3 times by now, but there's always a snag.

Nobody ever said he was better than Whitaker.

Actually, they have. They were wrong, though.

    In a nutshell.

The dude is a salesman, not a fighter.

maybe he wanted to wait until December when Pacquiao, Canelo, and Cotto were all free? Sergio didn't attempt to make a fight with anybody significant either. he jumped straight into a fight with Murray. Even after Cotto and Canelo started to show interest in challenging him

Just shows how highly that the a guy who is ranked,at worst,in the top 5 in Floyds division, and who holds a legitimate title, and has hold titles at 4 different weights, and hasnt lost a fight in 7 years is considered "indefensible" so easy will it be for Floyd to beat him.

OP must LOVE Floyd to rate him so highly.

P.S. Id wait a while before saying that this fight will definately go ahead. Unless Floyd comes out himself and says hes fighting Guerrero, then im holding off on judgement

    VERY wrong.

Floyd had tremendous skill at one stage (he's been declining for a while now) but this vacation/fight once every 12 months is doing his legacy damage.

He's got the skills but he lacks the heart and bottle.

After that night he became "Money", just like Pacquiao when he fought Oscar he also became a real attraction. Just look at their purses BEFORE and AFTER DLH.
