And for the record, Cabellero probably offers the stearnest test because Gamboa's pride may get in the way as he tries to outbox this guy.

When in reality, Gamboa needs to get inside and beat this guy down.

It's been obvious for a while. Only idiots and Puerto Ricans ever thought otherwise. JML has glaring chin and stamina issues. His power saved him on many occasions but Gamboa has him beat in that department also.

Now that Lopez is on the sideline nursing his wounds I do put Gamboa on the top of his Divison. Yeah a fight against John would erase all doubts of this, but come on John is at the end of his career and is ready for the taking.

I'd probably agree with it at the moment, although I'd like to see him in there with a few more of the top guys. I've always known he was superior to the massively overhyped Lopez, and have stated as much throughout my time here. That said, Gamboa is still a very flawed fighter in his own right so only time will tell.

Thats the problem with holding out so long to make big fights, both Lopez and Caballero looked bad in losing to seemingly lesser fighters....now Gamboa is going to be a huge favorite in either of those fights, and the demand fell a lot for those fights

He's as good as there is at FW, a fight with John will solidify it. I wish they were fighting him more, once every six months sucks for him, he's not a spring chicken either, coming into the pro game late, at least keep him busy and grow his popularity, he is exciting and certainly in the top of the division, John may be able to frustrate him enough to eek out a points win, bring on the fight I say, best fight in the division right now in my opinion.
