There's no one great at 160 for GGG to beat, but Hopkins didn't beat anyone either

If we're basing it on their age as well then Bernard hadn't even beaten Tito or Oscar yet. His resume was no better than Golovkins. Bernard had his haters discrediting him back then and Golovkin has his now.

They are both excellent mw's but haters need to hate. Since we are comparing the 2...why is ggg considered to be ducking Ward but Hopkins wasn't? Trolls can't see both sides because their hate blinds them.

Jones had no trouble with Hopkins. I suggest you lend some money for the electricity meter and go rewatch it.

Glen Johnson would go on to claim the light heavyweight title by beating Roy Jones and Antonio Tarver.

Hopkins' win over Johnson by itself urinates and defecates on the whole of Bumlovkin's career - and we haven't even talked about Joppy and Holmes who were both very good MWs in their own right...

Lool it wasn't that easy it was a clear win as all the judges had it 8-4 but those kinds of scores means it was competitive. Although I will say Hopkins got blown away by kovalev but to his credit he never got stopped and he's 40 years plus

How about you remove your head from your ass and post the scores? You can find them by having a look over @ Boxrec...

    Excellent post.

Truth is both Golovkin and Hopkins were standout fighters in a division with solid competition but without any opponent which stood out.

Hopkins though had two stellar names on his resume from lower weights in DLH and Tito just as Golovkin could of had Cotto and Canelo as his name wins if they had the guts to fight him.

There's a few mainly the "best" guy in the divison who just threw away his belt scared ****less. I guess the next step for Canelo to show that he isn't afraid is to invite GGG over to his house.

Let him take his girldfriend too while he's at it.

    LMAO

Johnson had beaten nobody at 160, check his record, he'd only beaten about 5 fighters with winning records. He was awful at 168 and only flourished at 175.

The Jones win was 8-4 on all 3 cards.

Your right both are stand out figures if I'm being honest ggg maybe the better middleweight if he unifies and beats canelo but what makes Hopkins the better fighter legacy wise is he went up in weight numerous times and was involved in fights where the bookies didn't favour him

That Glen Johnson is at the top of the list is damning Hopkins' resume with faint praise. Glen never beat a world-rated middleweight. That's not an exaggeration or hyperbole. He literally beat zero rated Middleweight contenders in his long, storied career.

He wouldn't beat, or get robbed against, world rated fighters until years later, at higher weight classes.

I say that as a massive Glen Johnson fan. What defines him is not being just another guy with an inflated record who vanished after he was exposed. He built himself into a genuine world-class fighter after everyone had left his career for dead, not content with just being "the opponent". A win over him before that experience doesn't count for a whole lot because he wasn't nearly as good as what he'd become later.

Talking **** about ATG's like BHOP is the typical thing you would expect from PacTurd/Golov****s. You, like your heroes are on the low end of human intellect, to say the least.
