Team Pacquia renegotiated the contracted weight agreement they came back and asked for 149 Margarito told them to **** themselves and agreed to 150...

I think that move alone proves that Roach deep down knows that perhaps he did bite off a bit more than he would like.

 

All that **** just to fight for a meaningless title.

This fight should be at welterweight.

Margarito is a tougher opponent for Pac at 150 than 147. Less effort to make weight.

So yea, they do it for the title, but it also makes a better fight. I don't see why any boxing fan would have a problem with that.

Ontop of that at 147 is where he made his mark (Margarito)....he really doesnt have much going for him at any weight higher.

147 is still an ok fight.....150 is not that tougher...you get the same fighter maybe even slower than he was at 147.

Pac is a great fighter......i can see if he was fighting a bigger fighter with skill....this is not the case.

 

also that statement makes it sound like he is doing Margo a favor favor by letting him come in bigger...suggesting from the get go that the fight is an easy fight no?

Margo at 147 is already a tough fight, ask Cotto, Clottey, Cintron, Paul Williams.

Even Shane will probably tell you that Margo was a tough opponent, despite totally dominating him.

But if you're a small guy who walks around below 150, then Margo is tougher at 150 than 147, because it's easier for Margo to make the weight.
