Lomachenko should knock Russell out, but you never know it boxing...............Lomachenko is faster than Russell, better defense and has fought the much better competition, yes, in his first two fights, not only in the amateurs. I do not trust Calif judges, refs, etc., perhaps Lomachenko should hire Ward to tell the judges and referee what to do?

Amazing situation. I have NEVER heard of a 26-0 fighter being an underdog to a 1-1 fighter. It just screams...OMG LOL

You've no idea who he is, yet he's only "somewhat neutral"?

    High praise indeed!

You can look up judges and refs on boxrec too, FWIW, if yoy want to find out about his judging / reffing record.

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=401036&cat=judge

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=401036&cat=referee

FWIW I'm not sure if you're on the money with your assessment - IMO Loma has just as much reason to worry about the judging - AFAIK judge selection has more to do with the SAC and possibly the relevent sanctioning body than the network or promoter.

Can't really hold it against the judges if they happened to have officiated on HBO more than SHO - that's pretty much co-incidental.

Isn't Pat Russell the same guy who stopped Rios v Alvarado I but let Ruslan Provodnikov beat soft spots in Tim Bradley's skull?

Sorry, but there is really no need to show such fear of a referee in this fight.
Both fighter are known to be clean fighters and I fully expect the fight to be maintained in the center of the ring with mostly outside fighting.
Russell will be popping his jab in Loma's face all night long and Loma will be backing up and trying to counter Russelll as he comes in.
Compared to Russell, Loma punches in slow motion and will take a tremendous amount of head and body shots come fight night.
