I can't remember ever seeing him throw himself into a punch like that and actually hit with the knuckle.
those machines are a load of shite, at least I hope they are. I was getting beat off all my mates on holiday and they've never boxed a day in their lives.
Froch and Holyfield probably stood still and did a normal punch. A boxers punches are designed to shock and explode on impact. The guys who are good on that machine always do run ups and like the presenter said it is about follow through. In other words you just need to be good at throwing ridiculous haymakers at stationary targets.
I have always noticed taller people who are hitting down on these machines do well, my mate whos fairly skinny but 6"4 can get better than my bodynuilding ex european kickboxing champ mate!
I know. You get goons taking a run up, jumping through the air on impact getting 900+ and there's me having boxed for almost a year getting 670 I am feather fisted but ****ing hell!
they pull out a different machine every time so it never really counts. Purse did hit harder than Froch........and Holyfield wasnt even trying.
