I'm pretty sure an 18 year old Mike Tyson could have become World Heavyweight champion in his debut Pro fight at the start of 1985.

Belt holders at the time were:

    WBA champion: Greg Page
    WBC Champion: Pinklon Thomas

I'm going to leave out the IBF Champion Larry Holmes as Tyson would have been too raw and inexperienced to beat Holmes in his first fight.

This is obviously the most improtant thing when talking about hypothetical matchups with young, unproven fighters. It all depends on who the titlists are at that time.

For example, when Floyd was fighting at SFW, it's very possible that in his 2nd or 3rd fight he could've beaten RObert Garcia for his alphabet title. It all depends on who the titlists are at the moment, and if the young fighter/opposition has a style that can beat one of the alphabet titlists.

Eaxclty it depends on who the titelsits are at the time for most fighters, but for rigo and kindelan it doesn't matter they'd beat any any champion in 1 or 2 fights! easy

I don't know about that. What if the 122-126 pound guy Rigo took on was Pacman, MAB, Morales or JMM? You have to put things into perspective.

Now I do agree that Rigo could win a title early in many of the 122 or FW eras, but it all depends on who the titlists are at that current moment.

He'd beat them all! doesn't matter who it is bro! pacquiao barrera marquez would get outboxed and maybe stopped! only when he starts moving up out of his weight will the fights get harder

Literally the only answer that makes sense.

It doesn't matter that the HOF'ers in this thread went on to more notoriety and bigger things, the bottom line is none of them tested themselves early enough to suggest it was feasible to win a title in their second fight.

If anyone ever does it, it will be a unique accomplishment for a reason.

Get off Rigo's nuts. I don't care for Mayweather, but he doesn't have a glass jaw like Rigo.

I'd have argued that some of the other Thai's could tbf. Sot Chitalada for example gave THE CHAMP a tough test in what was Sot's 4th bout, an easier champion could have been beaten in 2 I think.

Could have been worth considering Muangchai Kittikasem who beat Tacy Macalos in fight #7. Maybe a long shot but not totally impossible.

Veeraphol Sahaprom beat Daorung Chuwatana in fight 4 so could have, possibly against Botile or Kotey.

Also (to add to my last post), Kongtoranee Payakaroon would NEED mentioning. He beat Payao Poontarat THE FIGHT AFTER Poontarat lost his world title...that was just Payakaroon's second bout. Sadly Payakaroon never won a world title instead running in to two of the great Super Flyweights.

Clay? You're delusional. The green version got put to sleep by Henry F*cking Cooper and had to cheat his way through to get the nod.

He gets brutalized in his first pro fight if he tries to challenge for the world title. His gold was at Light Heavyweight FFS. Some of the posters on here...

Don't bother reasoning, he doesn't realize how much better Rigo has got since his pro debut. Could you imagine that version of Rigo vs a champion? I think Rigo is number 3 p4p right now but the weakest of champs such as Mathebuela would have likely pushed him to his limits.
