There's so much more to do at 168 for Ward, he should not be thinking about 175 atm.

The point of is the thread is to convince people to stop talking about no 175, no one wants to see that ****.

There's weight divisions for a reason.

We want to see fighters fight at their most comfortable weight. That's all!!! :yep

And that's 168. He should be staying at 168.

If he can still make it. he is 6 feet tall and powerfully built, I imagine it is quite damaging to his system, having to make 168.

I am 6'2 32 and making 175 kills me now. I am obviously not a pro, but after a while, there is just not much left to lose once your body matures and bones get heavier.

He's at a good 173.4 2 and a half weeks b4 his scheduled bout. He can make 168 very very comfortably and he's never had weight issues.

There's no way he should be fighting at no 175 right now.

DeGale more so than Jack but that's not saying much. Yes James had a good win over Dirrell but with how he looked from rounds 4-10? maybe it was 5-10, I don't think he would be much of a problem. And Jack would be an even more lopsided match. The other names you mentioned would be worse, aside from Froch. I know he handily beat him already but maybe Froch would lay it all out knowing it'll probably be his last fight, but that's about it as far as the list you gave. We'll see how Ward looks next week but if he looks anything close to how he did, then those names don't stand a chance.

Jack and DeGale would have a good chance of dethroning Ward. They have good styles.

Even if Ward fights at his old level, that doesn't mean all bouts at 168 would be uncompetitive.

He needs to stake his dominance against at HIS weight class, not go up to uncharted territories.

He's 173.4 2 and a half weeks b4 his next bout. It would be stupid.

Virgil also said that it's very very likely they will be moving back down to 68 from this 172 catchweight ****.

I can see groves landing a crisp right on ward early on and ward not being able to get up.

See. This is why he needs to be staying at 68.

    There's lots of questions left.

"Can Ward dominate this division again?"

    That's the biggest one.

    I need to know.

Where did "Ward has a glass chin" rumor originate from? I've never seen him hurt, he always looks confident and in a comfort zone during fights.

They hold dearly onto the Darnell Boone knockdown and claim Ward has a "glass chin"

So tell me why HE chose to fight at 172 then if he is "most comfortable" at 168?

    Virgil chose it, not him.

Perhaps he thought Ward might go over, but Ward trained extremely hard during his layoff and it turns out that he didn't need the extra weight at all. The dude was 173.4 2 and a half weeks b4.

Virgil underestimated his fighter it seemed.

Ward's determination and hard work is impressive.

He better stop paul smith. Smith is not even the best Smw in his family, and getting overated because he gave plodding small Abraham one good fight.

Smith is very good, I expect this to go a good 10 rounds b4 the stoppage.

But I would not be surprised if it goes a full 12.

Ward might want to get rounds in.

There's another fight when he staggers into the ropes very hurt against another journeyman.
