Yeah the contract is at 145 but it wouldnt be "cheating" by coming in at his regular weight. It would just mean he didnt follow the contract. besides Roach has already said that the fight will still go on if he comes in at 147.

Talks about him coming OVER 147 is crazy. When has Cotto not made weight at Welterweight?

He is gonna make weight and floor Pacquiao in the process. Cotto is a 100 percent consummate professional

As a boxer gets older and lazy, there's always the first time. Talk to Guzman and Campbell. :D

you dont have to worry about that. Cotto is a true professional a dedicated fighter. Even when he was struggling at 140 he always made weight. Even if it meant looking like a concentration camp victim like he did against Malignaggi.

If Cotto's smart he will be exercising a significant weight advantage on fight night. He is probably mid 150's at the least so i doubt he wants to raise any speculation/drama over it. As long as he comes in at 145 at the weigh in he can do whatever he likes.

Here's an excerpt of the news report:

If he’s too heavy, we won’t fight,” Roach said Wednesday at the Wild Card gym. He had earlier said if Cotto goes more than two pounds over the 145-lb catch weight, Team Pacquiao will call off the fight.

Landman was twice asked about Cotto’s weight but danced around the questions.
“We haven’t checked the weight yet,” Landman said. “We’re not 145 yet, but we’re OK. We still have 10 days to go.”

No question about Cotto's skillset, but he's only human like you and me, who gets old and heavier by the day.
