Fury would have had a field day. Tucker would not be aggressive enough, and Sonny eventually finds and squashes Byrd.
I think he beats Fury and Tucker but Byrd outsmarts him. Call me crazy but prime Byrd had a hell of a chin and was extremely slippery. Not a def win for Byrd but of the 3 I can see him pulling out a w
Im with u on the Byrd fight ,he's such a slippery costumer I believe he'll give Liston headache s .Sonny would be stretching to land clean on this guy .
I like Listons boxing skills. Hes well schooled and I pick him against all 3 most likely by stoppage.
I think Fury outboxes him, Liston ko's Tucker, and against Byrd, I make him the favorite, BUT Liston has to be busy. Byrd was a southpaw and very tricky and hard to hit.
Did Liston ever show he could beat a talented bigger opponent? Tucker had enough moxy and durability to go the distance with young Tyson and young Lewis, his only losses before the age of 37, so I'd expect him to do at least as well here. Eddie Machen frustrated Liston and went 12 with him. Liston also had a few issues in three fights with Marty Marshall, so a slippery southpaw like Byrd would do at least as well as them. Liston probably takes that one on points but Byrd could spring an upset. Fury-Liston? Who knows how that one plays out but it would be fascinating to watch.
He might lose to Byrd.....byrd was some spolier.....but listo n can and did outpoint guys with his slow but continuous workrate....always throwing something
