We know he did for Hall, who was never a champ, and considering there that there's several more formidable opponents on the list, I think its fairly easy to do the math.

To be fair though, its my belief that most of these guys where juicing as well, so the playing field was probably level in most cases.

He beat about a dozen or so legitimately good fighters and a few great ones. Sure, he could have faced some better fighters (most of whom weren't even in his weight class), but didn't. It's a legitimate knock that he didn't. But his record isn't as bad as you're making it seem. For instance, no way in hell was Virgil Hill near the end of his career. Tate was a decent fighter who isn't on the list at all. While Pazienza was small, he had legitimate success at 168 and was coming off two wins over (faded and fat, but still decent) Roberto Duran. McCallum was faded but still good enough to give prime James Toney hell in his next fight. And while there are a lot of holes to be picked in his resume, it's still one of the best ones in the last 20 years or so, and is a better resume than any of the guys people say he should have fought.

Hopkins wasn't. He was in the lower half of the top ten.

You can do that list for every fighter, even Ali etc.

Its not about what my favorite boxers are. This thread has nothing to do with me disliking Roy Jones. I just want to say the truth about his legacy.

nunn, benn, eubank, collins, mcclellan same weight class all genuine supermiddles all active at the same time jones was at supermiddle. Its pretty obvious he avoided them to take easier challenges. It makes me laugh anytime someone says roys unbeatable at 168. Its easy to look amazing when you don't take on the top guys and considering he was p4p one of the best rated boxers in the world at the time his resume is very weak compared to his talent.

funny thing there is no truth...half the guys he posted were never champion showing he dont know what he is talking about, and also his opinion arent facts....like Hopkins not being prime...dude was 28 when they fought and Jones was 24 and the fight was scored 8-4 thats not a close fight:rofl
