These Guys Can't Fight a Fourth Fight

I don't want them to do it period. Even though Vasquez has won 2 out of the 3, he's without a doubt taken the most damage just on the fact that Marquez was always landing the much harder blows and Vasquez being able to take them because of his strong chin. Marquez has a softer chin than Vasquez, so when Vasquez lands a perfect bomb, he would get stunned.

That right hand in the 9th round resonated through that complex, it was amazing he didn't drop and his face after each fight has been hard to look at.

Couple that with the fact that he's been in a lot of other wars and hard fights, I really hope he retires soon or just takes on some easy fights.

Vasquez, even though winning, is in worse shape than Marquez is. Even if he likely wins a 4th encounter, Marquez stylistically is always going to be able to tattoo him with BOMBS and these do damage.

Fans of both fighters should not want another fight between these two if they are true fans of each fighter.

 

I agree with you amsterdam. They should both move on to better things. These 2 should never fight one another again.

they gave us three great fights. and we should be satisfied. but for their own health they should not share a ring any more. we have seen one fight of this caliber ruin a fighter, hese men have given us 3. they both should take some well deserved time off, and not even look in each others direction again.

 

A few gimme fights and a featherweight title each to top off their respective careers! :happy

 

There fighting style will always end in brutal wars. Like I said before, both of these guys are one punch KO power guys. They both land flush too often. They are already ****ed as far as damage is concerned another fight and they would ****ing kill each other. Vazquez face looks like its going to just ****ing fall off.

 

DLH / mayweather should not be allowed to fight again. these 2 should get big bucks if they are going to have to go though that again.

 

four straight fights w/ each other is insane... even other great trilogies had intermissions in between. the vasquez-marquez trilogy didn't. i won't be disappointed at all if a 4th fight doesn't happen. i think at this point in their careers, they should already be thinking of their health and general well-being. we should too as fans of them.

 

There is no more to ask of them, they shouldn't fight again ever. Both did great but that 12th round was amazing for Vazquez, what an amazing stamina. Great trilogy. I really admire Vazquez when he said that he wouldn't mind fighting Marquez for the 4th time, I HOPE they don't. They should take a loooong time to rest. Great fight.

 

Vazquez got too much scar tissue and bleeds easy. marquez's comments about his face was laughable. Vazquez looks like he had a cut from sparring. Take a look on the swelling and you can see the real damage.

 

Brutal fight you could not ask for more drama even if you write it, fans have a good nose when a great fight is coming no losers in this the winner are us.

 

These two have left part of themselves in the Ring you just cant absorb that much punishment again and again. They should not fight again. They have done enough to each other and given the fans one of the great rivalries its there. I salute both these great warriors and have nothing but respect for either man regardless of where they go from here.
