Come on guys. Usyk is weighing more than Wilder... look at him stand next to Joseph Parker at the AJ/Ruiz weigh-in. they look the same. Usyk has been sparring 240 pound guys the last 3-4 years to get ready for CW! Sources say he even manhandled Klitschko when they sparred.... bottom line is the size discrepancy is negligible.

In the amatuers and WSB he fought and beat really big heavyweights too.
Plus both Hunter and Briedis have already proven they can beat the breaks of most heavyweights out there.

I mean, his size IS a potential concern. Ultimately until he beats a decent big guy in the pro ranks those threads will exist and not without some validity

I don't want to see that puny Usyk tossed into the potato chip pit, with that disgusting blob Andy Ruiz. That would just be too upsetting to watch. Those puny arm punches struggling to fend off these huge flabby behemoths. lol

Several cruiserweights could successfully move up to heavyweight; Breidis, Dorticos, Gassiev :boxing1

I hope they do. They'll be fed to that ferocious polish pastry chef Adam Kownacki!

He's six three, 215lbs on fight night. That's not small at all. He beat Joyce, who's a huge HW, manhandled Wlad, and beat Hunter who's gone on to beat numerous fully fledged HWs like Ustinov, Bakole and Kuzmin.

He's basically a HW back when HWs used to train for speed and stamina, not trying to flop their jelly rolls all over you because they lacked the skill or athleticism to do anything else.

Pretty much all CWs could move up to HW without too many problems. Huck, Gassiev, Dorticos, Briedis, Kudryashov (chin might be an issue depending on what's causing it), Makabu, Glowacki, Lebedev (back in the day). When you get to 200+ pounds you can theoretically beat anyone.

yep, I remember when Briedis brutally KO'd the Diamond Boy, Manuel Charr hahah... he was KO'd cold... just the fact that Manuel Charr held some sort of championship belt is absolutely absurd. and people are still discussing him as a contender, even though he hasn't boxed since 2017

Usyk holds a victory over Nistor who knocked out Joshua.

    What's your point?

I'm a big Charr fanboy, but at this point he seems to have retired so I'm not going to talk about him.

I genuinely thought he was a lot better than people made him out to be though.

Man **** those amateur fights, they are irrelevant. For example someone at the age of 25 with a lot of amateur experience beats someone at the age of 18. The 18 year old guy turns out to be a world champion one day. It's totally nonsense to compare them again because the 18 year old gained tons of experience through the years.

Maybe he meant that if Porter can beat Usyk, Usyk can beat Joshua, Fury et al. I think he was just having a dig at him though.

I mean, overall, he probably is a little undersized for the division. But what if, despite this, he goes on to beat these HW goliaths? How embarrassing would that be for their fans? Probably embarrassing enough to make them come on here prior to his debut in the division and write self-comforting comments.

I'd rather just wait and see. He's got nothing to lose, apparently. Stymied by natural disadvantages, the odds are stacked against him; making any loss against the elite fighters understandable and any win even more remarkable...
