i was watching some videos today, and they made me feel very bad for rooting for this sport.

fck. im not a bible thumper at all yuhzeeit, but i do have knowledge of it. and i know it states, and logic dictates, to show love to your fellow brother and not bring harm to him. and yeah we all have consciences that tell us if were doing something wrong or not, but more times, it seems weve become so accustomed to our vices that we no longer see any moral wrong in them. or if we do know its wrong, we minimize it by thinking of it as only a small thing.

unfortunately as boxing fans, we promote and condone this type of thing. and it made me feel bad to see this video today, and a few others that have been posted here recently.

this type of thing can happen to any fighter, in any fight. while we cheer their beatings, knockdowns and knockouts. we even call them quitters and bums for not taking more punishment. weve all done this, and this is just a simple sign of how weve all become so indifferent to this kind of sanctioned violence.

even still, and i dont mean to be hypocritical, i know i most likely wont stop watching boxing. and i spent the morning thinking why. and im seeing that im shallow in the sense that other sports and other pass-time activities dont interest me as much - or at all- as the fight game. its got a stonghold on me. and this is obviously a sign of decadence within the world, because i know im not alone and i know theres LOTS of fight fans worldwide, whatever the combat.

its like weve been conditioned to accept and cheer these brutal beatings, cheer the winner, and forget about the loser and any fatal damage that may have been done to him. all while the snake promoters, sanctioning bodies, telecast companies, etc laugh and count the millions that we provide them.

i feel genuinely sorry for this guy g-man, i feel sorry for billy collins jr, wilfred benitez, their families, i feel bad about the sport right now.

if you read this, if you agreed with anything, if you felt or feel the same way or different, anything. post here. all of us should see what were really cheering.

Come on man. You can't blame the sport for that.

Getting hit int he head causes problems..who doesn't know that? **** on the USA Amateur Boxing waiver it says so. So everyone should be aware of this since starting at a small age.

UFC fighters get ****ing kneed in the head and hit AFTER they been knock out yet your blaming boxing for what happened to this guy come on. I scream bull****.

In any combat sport this could happen to you period. Life is life and like life boxing moves on.

Problem with the world is too many people are procreating who shouldn't be having kids and hence the human suffering. Boxing is a reflection of that. Nobody with other avenues boxes, most of the guys are street kids who found boxing to escape more negative activity.

Nobody deserves it but if I had to pick one guy that would receive that punishment it would be g-man, great fighter but a terrible crappy human being.I have 0 sympathy for a man that ducktapes a dog and basically feeds it to his own dog for his amusement. thats a very cruel thing to do and just one of the man sadistic things.

I've seen these and I understand what you mean. There's a lot of dodgey things which go on in boxing (aswell as other sports) and it's no wonder people become dissilusiond. I actually have found that I just enjoy the taking part a bit more now more than the computer side of it but I have never been through these things here.
For me boxing and MMA were great things in my life really as I learned from doing that to walk away from fights during a time late on in my school life and about a year after where a group of kids tried to bully me. Basically I really beat the hell out of this real 'bad boy' who was the ring leader and the next thing I knew his parents were down the school kicking off even though the incident happend outside of school and he actually attacked me with no provocation. Anyway these were the type of people who knew everybody in the area and I was in a care home at the time due to family problems (which is why I feel I was targeted) so I had nobody to have my back. Before I knew it I couldn't walk down a street without getting looked at like filth. Many people who I had never even met in person looked at me like filth (including adults). I understandably became so angry that I began to get in street fights on a regular basis so that people would be scared of me and leave me alone. After trying out MMA I made some good mates at the gym and people didn't have the guts to jump me anymore or talk loads of **** about me behind my back because they were scared they would bump when I was out with people. I also feel that some of the adults who knew me at the gym (mostly bouncers) might have known some of these kids parents aswell and basically just said that I was a sound lad. I have also never been in a street fight since taking up the sport.
