They just take way too damned long to get into the ring and fight. Look at Crawford, he had the potential and has basically squandered his career, Rigondeaux, whom a lot of people DID avoid, kinda just sat around and complained (and also wasn't young). Mikey Garcia is a never was and had great talents (IMO)

Remember...Henry Armstrong fought 50+ times in ONE year. Delahoya by today's standards fought 6 times in '97 when he was red hot and THE star when he could've just hung out and did more playgirl shoots.

This is why UFC has basically taken over.

Rigo was simply blackballed. Crawford made a mistake by signing w TR again. Garcia didn't fight Loma out of spite (Arum).
Munguia, Jermall Charlo, Andrade, and a few others are far more egregious imo. Promoters are just as responsible too.

Yeah but that doesn't mean Rigo couldn't have just taken some stay busy fights?

Still, I'd rather them fight 6 no hopers and a decent fighter than 2 fights against 2 no hopers...

Young fighters should fight at least 4 times a year for the first 3 years of their career, against all kinds of styles, to gain the experience they need to fight at the world level.

He destroyed easy opposition though. No wanted to face an ATG talent. Fighters are only willing to tango if they see serious flaws in another boxer.
