That´s a great chance for Carrion to get some recognition. If he get´s into top shape he will beat Botha. Carrion was robbed against Charr.

Not so sure about that. Pedro Carrion never been past ten rounds and has only had 9 fights in the proffesional game. I think he will go for the hit and move tactic. Rather like Dirrell at the weekend. I would think that Botha could cut the ring off much better than Froch did though. However taking this fight at the last minute is a dangerous decision for Botha and Pedro Carrion has nothing to lose. I hope his experiance will get him through though. Even if he isnt in the shape we had hope for on here. I still think a late stoppage of Pedro Carrion is a realistic target for Botha.
    GO BOTHA!

But bigger in this one. I think he needs to win this fight early on. Or it could be a difficult night!

Well its the ones they posted on ses boxing dated this week. He was supposed to have done a think with timo because i am guessing if Botha wins this one a rematch will be in the offing. As for the second picture thats supposed to be in his public workout this week! Looks like his first workout since the Hoffman fight. If he gets through this fight he really needs to take losing weight seriously if he ever wants a shot at the big time again!

Having said that i have just seen the rest of the photos from his public workout and he doesnt look too bad. Will upload them later. i think the picturtes taken just look a little unflattering. I reckon he will be similar weight to the Hoffman. Fight though.

The weigh in happened and Frans is similar wait to the Hoffman fight. If anything, if my conversion from kilgrams to pounds are right it might even be a pound or two lighter. Frans Botha (251 Pounds) and Pedro Carrion (266.4 Pounds). He still has a bit to lose but i think he is on his way back. Looks more like muscle now.
    Go Botha!
    Predictions anyone??

Thanks for the pics Edmund, keep em coming. His arms look more toned, but he still has some belly to bail. I am going with Botha by decision.

Why is he trying to fight boxers with no skills who are 6'8"ish ? Does he want to imply he can "beat up the Klitschko sisters" by that ?

    In case he forgot:

Awesome Botha is having his third fight this year tomorow. I had completely forgot about him till I saw this thread. Who knows what this guy still has left. I mean he has only lost to Wladimir Klitschko, Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, and Michael Moorer. This could make the heavyweight division a little more interesting.

I will take Botha for a later rounds stoppage. Carrion has only beat two fighters with winning records. One of those fighters has only beaten one figher with a winning record in twenty three bouts, and the fighter he beat lost four of his last six. The other fighter has beaten seven fighers with winning records in twenty three bouts.
