Use VLC player. That works for most of everything.

Usually when you just get sound it means that your codecs aren't upgraded.

Well the rumours might be true. Although not on Boxrec yet, looks like a Frans Botha vs Evander Holyfield could be on. A statement from wbf president Mr Goldberg on fightnews has said this Goldberg would not reveal much about Botha’s next defence of his Federation belt, but hinted that his opponent could be a former world heavyweight champion.

The fight may take place somewhere in Africa.

This to me is hinting at Holyfield. I hope so. If Botha really is on his way back he needs to prove it. A win for either would be a ticket to another big match. If Botha can get his ass into real shape we are in for a great match. I will stop shy of saying he will outright win but holy to me has aged alot. More so than Botha. I will wait with anticipation for confirmation of the fight. Go Botha! Get in shape and he could do this. The Botha against carrion wont win this. The one against hoffman might.

Just got the player to work cheers CUBEX! Hey first half of the fight i thought could have gone either way. He made Carrion miss alot and botha was hardly actually hit. Botha did begin to let it go just after half way half way through. But i dont think Carrion did enough to pull this one out the Bag. Especially after the point deduction. If Botha did sustain an injury to his hand then i think that would explain the lack of throwing many punches. And for me his movement looked ok. Made Carrion miss a hell of alot. Not saying it was a particularly good performance but was a twelve rounds for him and he did enough for a draw in me eyes. Would like to see what Holyfield would do to counter Botha and vice verca.
A win against holyfield in this one and he is on his way to another crack at the title me thinks! Bring on the ugandan battle!

Good to see you back charles (Where have you been?). Just heard the on the rope report of the fight. Noone is giving Botha much of a chance but you know me i think he is going to get this one. He is hungry so much more so than Evander in my opinion. They go on about experiance but Botha has some too. Plus he has been alot more active and is the far younger man. Anyway here is the interview-

Francois you put up a wonderful performance against Timo Hoffman and then a very indifferent one against Pedro Carion. Even World Boxing Federation President, Howard Goldberg – a good friend of yours said Botha was extremely fortunate to draw. Which Botha can be expect to see against Holyfield?

Botha: I have always been my own harshest critic. My performance against Carion, without making any excuses, was arguably the worst of my career. Expect the fittest, toughest and best ever, and extremely serious Francois Botha in Uganda in January. I owe my fans and members of Team Botha the performance of my life – I intend to make good on that.

Although Holyfield is a few years older than you, he looked very impressive in his last fight. What tactics will you be employing?

Botha: Holyfield is an outstanding warrior and a several times world champion. He can box and fight. I need to bring my best game in order to win, and win is exactly what I intend to do. I am extremely serious, have started training, and will be going to Europe to spar before going early to Uganda to acclimatise. You have two top world champs in action. We’re both a bit older and a bit wiser. Expect a great fight.

Many people who know you know that you are your own man, and don’t really listen to advice from others? Will it be the same on this occasion?

Botha: I’m a bit older and wiser, and certainly more mature than in the old days in the USA. I speak often to some wise people, including my trainer, WBF President Howard Goldberg and people I trust. They always give me good advice even if it is sometimes harsh. But I have certainly learnt to listen to them and the good advice they give.

Why is a win so important to you in Uganda?

Botha: The good thing I suppose is that people who saw me turn in that lousy performance against Carion think that I’m done and should quit. I know my abilities if I take this seriously. A win against a warrior like Holyfield will open the doors to an eventual match with either one or both of the Klitchkos. When that happens, lets see those people who think I should quit.

A defence of the World Boxing Federation title means exactly what to Francois Botha

Botha: I believe that a message was sent to me from higher powers telling me that I can still make it and inspire young people never to forego their dreams. It was Howard Goldberg who believed in me when I wasn’t serious and wasn’t interested and told me grasp the opportunity with both hands or to stop wasting everyone’s time. That World Boxing Federation title means as much to me as does this individual fight with Holyfield and I intend doing justice to both.

Francois – a final comment from the White Buffalo?

Botha: The buffalo, after a little hiccup, is back on the prairie as mean and hungry as every before. Tell my friend Evander, for whom I have the highest respect and admiration, that he is coming to the buffalo’s turf and he had better bring his best game. Whatever the result (and after a Botha victory) I look forward to having Evander as my guest in South Africa after the fight to show him one of the greatest countries in the world.

Francois – thank you very much and best of luck!

    Botha: My pleasure as always.

Have just read on the promoters site that i will actually be able to watch Botha vs Evander live! As it is being put onto the web to watch! Now i am really looking foward to this one. This is what was written on the promoters website.

This is the most anticipated fight in Africa since Muhammadi Ali fought George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire in "Rumble the Jungle" showdown in 1974. The East African boxing community is very optimistic to come and witness this historical event at Nelson Mandela Memorial Stadium Namboole , Kampala with the capacity of 80,000 spectators.

We expect boxing fans to come from all over Africa, that's why we are staging the fight in a huge arean to cater for every one who wishes to come and see Francois Botha defending his WBF heavyweight title against Evander Holyfield.

This is a "must see fight" because it not often that fights of this magnitude happens in this part of the world but with the support the east African boxing community and corporate sponsors , we will be able to promote such fight atleast once year in Uganda, This event will be broadcasted in the following options: cable PPV (pay per view), Satellite PPV ( pay per view) and world wide internet PPV (pay per view).

We will giving you more information about this fight on our Pess release/ ocnference in Kampala, Uganda very soon.

Glad to be back Edmund. I have just been so busy with school that I haven't had as much time for ESB as I normally do. But now that finals are over, hopefully that will change. Thanks for the interview mate.
