I would like to see Botha get a shot at Holyfield again, Rahman, or McCall to finish out his career.

I know, I'm crushed. Botha would have given Fury all kinds of trouble.

There may still be hope! Come on they have got to let this happen!!!

    Snippet from The Sun.

TYSON FURY will appeal the British Boxing Board's decision to ban Frans Botha, 42, from fighting him.
Promoter Mick Hennessy said: "Decisions like this are killing the sport.

"I'm told it's because of Botha's age, yet George Foreman won the world title at 45."

Tyson Fury is not a good fight for Botha even if he can give him trouble. Botha is 42 if he still wants to participate in this crazy sport he needs to stick with the senior circuit and not mess with the younger up and coming fighters.

Well another update on the WBF site Botha looks to be fighting Raphael Zumbano in a final eliminator for the WBFed title. I think Holyfield is going to give the title up so will be Zumbano or Botha vs Sherman Williams for the title. Here is the new article from WBF site.

Raphael Zumbano, one of Brazil's favourite fighters, impressively moved closer to a potential world title shot at WBF champion Evander Holyfield with an emphatic but tough 12-rounds points win over capable Argentinian challenger Carlos Ojeda Roldan defending his World Boxing Federation International heavyweight title in the process.

The fight was held last Thursday (March 17) at the Companhia Athletica Brooklyn in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Using his excellent jab to pile up the points, judges Durval Ribeiro (117-114), Sumaia Alakra (116-112) and Aldair Macedo (119-108) unanimously voted in Zumbano's favor.

The 30-year-old Zumbano, who has already been watched by WBF president Howard Goldberg in November last year when winning his belt, improved his already impressive record to 30 wins with 23 knockouts against only 4 losses and 1 draw.

Zumbano is due to fight South Africa's former WBF world champion Francois Botha in Sao Paulo, Brazil in the first week of July in a final eliminator.

Anyone think there could be chance Botha man could be the international former heavyweight in the international pprizefighter? I think it would be just what he needs. He would kick ass in it me thinks. The short fights would suit him down to the ground. Would get him places alot faster than fighting relatively unknown brazilians!!!

Once again another opponent has been named for Botha. This another piece of Botha news i have found and another person he should be fighting although this time a date has been written this time and a qoute from Botha himself on the fight. But cant say i have ever heard of Simba Flo?

Undefeated heavyweight prospect Flo Simba will face veteran Francois Botha on June 4 in what the promoters are calling the biggest fight in South Africa since Hasim Rahman knocked out Lennox Lewis 10 years ago.

Botha, who has fought the likes of Lewis, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, is expected to give 21-year-old Simba the toughest fight of his career

People have been asking for Flo to step up,” Simba’s manager, Brian Mitchell, said after Golden Gloves announced the bill on Tuesday.

“This is a bit bigger than I would have liked, but he can look after himself.

“I expect him to make a real statement against the White Buffalo [Botha] who has been in with the best.”

Simba said he was ready to take the next step in his fledgling career.

“I know it’s time for me to step up to another level,” Simba said.

“Fransie is an experienced fighter but I’ve got the trainer and the team behind me to win this fight.

“It’s up to me to take the next step.”

Botha admitted he had everything to lose and sent a warning to the youngster that he was still fit and in fighting shape.

“Flo has everything to gain,” Botha said.

“If I beat him everyone is going to say he lost to a better fighter.

“His nickname is ’Demolition’, and there is going to be a demolition in the ring, but it’s not going to come from him, it’s going to come from me

its either the coming out party for simba or he will get badly exposed by botha! Simba is pretty green and if botha shows up in top condition he can teach the youngster a lesson!
