I don't think this would be a very entertaining fight action wise, but I would still like to see it. I winnable fight for Botha I should think, unless the judges decide to give Ruiz a gift. I doubt that Ruiz would take this fight as he is much higher than Botha in the rankings and he would not want to risk his WBA mandatory.

Wish Botha had gone for Brewster now. He might have won even more conclusively. Still its seems to be a long build up to his next fight so i am gussing it could be a big name for him next? Well thats me hoping anyway.

Mercer, age 48, is also coming back. He will be fighting in Sweden again in a 6 rounder.

Good luck to mercer. If he feels he is fit and can still cut it, let him go for it. But will be a little while before he is ready for a fight with Botha me thinks.

"Die Deutsche Eiche", the German Oak, big heavyweight Timo Hoffmann vows to continue his career and wants a revenge fight against WBF heavy champ Francois Botha - as both are promoted by SES it could happen. Hoffmann blames the loss to Botha to the fact that he for some reasons wasn´t in shape but to ringsiders it looked like a case of cagey veteran who just knew too much for the extremely durable and brave but boxingwise somewhat limited Hoffmann.

Not exactly what i had hoped for Botha next but at least we know it should be another win. I dont think Botha was in top shape for the first fight either so i dont think it would be that big a factor even if timo was in top shape for the second. Still he will at least continue to blow the cobwes away and get himself in to tip top condition.

Seeing Botha against other fellow aging hw's such as McCall, Brewster or Whitakker should prove interesting. I however doubt that these fights will happen as Botha signed with a relatively small german promotional banner SES. A rematch with Hoffmann is therefore much more likely.

Botha v Moorer on the Tyson v Holyfield undercard was a decent fight, the first time Botha ever looked in great shape... A shame he couldn't maintain it.....

Maybe Briggs and Botha can fight a rematch.

I have a bad feeling about Botha matching Hoffman again. I think he should move on, but seeing as in how they are both promoted by the same company, I think this rematch seems more than likely to happen.

Mr white good to see you! Well like i said if it gets the cobwebs gone and hopefully puts him back in tip top shape and if he can ko this bloke the result could look quite good. Plus he must clear the ses boxers first i before he can move on.

Same to you Edmund my friend. I suppose you are right with regards to Botha-Hoffman 2. But if/when he gets past Hoffman again, it is time to get the ball rolling and find better competition.
