Why people are saying that Povetkin failed when he didn't, I don't get. Again if the amount of meldonium stated by Povetkin promoter is correct then Povetkin didn't fail the test.

We have to go by what the reports say and the reports say he failed the test administered. And I wouldn't put too much stock into what Povetkin's manager say as their word is pretty much a joke at this time.

All the above is weak. Povetkins chickensh*t ass failed a drug test when he had ample time to clean up. I don't care how big or small it was. It was illegal and an attempt to achieve an unfair advantage. Wilder and his team spent tens of thousands getting ready and playing by the rules and that asswipe blew it. They didn't run, they just said F__k You Povetkin and they left like they were supposed to.

Not weak at all where there is smoke there is fire. I never saw a mandatory make more than a champion as Wilder did against Stiverne. Then in next match unheard of Molina gets to fight for title who shares same promoter as Stiverne. If that isn't under handed garbage I don't know how this is not a story shows how corrupt and in the pocket so many ppl are for Wilder

Povetkin's a cheater and a liar, and got caught.

    Get over it.

Pov is clearly a cheat so I've no issue with wilder refusing to fight him, I'm gutted I won't get to see it though.

I think it's patently clear that Molina and Duahapas weren't as bad as people first thought with their recent victories.

Apparently Wilder wants his full fight purse anyways.

I'm on his side in this whole fiasco, but that's just not gonna happen. Someone should tell him to save his money because his lawyers can't really do jack for him here except send him more bills.

I agree but I believe his training expenses should be paid for. It would make sense if a precedent was made on this for all boxers whose opponents cancel due to injuries or in this case get caught using a banned substance.

That would be quite fair, and I agree he should get all of his expenses paid for. I'm just not sure who would be able to enforce that the payout would actually happen. I think Ryabinsky would only voluntarily pay that back if Wilder agreed to fight Povetkin again.

If his team decides to ditch a possible Povetkin fight for good, I think he'll have a very hard time seeing a dime back.
