Wilder gets through hellinuis, AJ is going to have a fight this December just give him someone to look good against. They can meet early 2023.
That's still a fight I would very much like to see. Those guys need to fight each other, they've both been highly in their division ranked for years. It would sell really well in the UK, probably in the US as well.
If Wilder gets past Helenius. Not a given unless money has changed hands. But yeah the fight can still be made. It just wouldn't have much lustre associated with it. Both ships have not only sailed but been torpedoed and sunk.
I think if Wilder beats Ruiz and Joshua beats Ortiz, regardless of their upcoming fight outcome it is an event. Especially if they make those fights entertaining.
Would they ever fight each other without a belt on the line? That would be such a huge risk. Then again, they didn't seem to want to fight each other when they had belts...
I believe it s the intention of both camps. If both win next, the matchup builds steam. Negotiations will be tough as usual, Wilder will have Ruiz as leverage, Joshua is always full of options, but now the window of oportunity for this fight will be close to finished. I hope it puts the pressure on both camps
The thing is wilder vs ruiz is not even half the fight as with AJ. Hell, ruiz might even drop a decision to ortiz.
This has been the fight to be made for years, can’t believe it still hasn’t happened. What’s even crazier is that no matter how many losses they get, it will always be an interesting fight, and it will likely never even happen. Really bad stain in boxing
Promoters aint gonna let this happen unless there's a huge purse. Middle east now the boxing capital of the world?
