They debated Pac/FMJ fight on ESPN First Take show this morning. ESPN is misinformed!

Media ain't **** but people talking out their asses and giving their own opinions. But you have to be truthful with yourself, Floyds camp would not budge from the USADA program. Guess what, they do test up until the fighters enter the ring. RANDOM for them means anytime til the event.

 

Actually they did budge. They said they were willing to use another agency, but then Arum changed the demands again. USADA doesn't test in the last 48 hours before a sporting event.

You sure about that, they've tested athletes before events. Either way Pac should say **** em take the test and whoop lil Floyds ass.

 

Outside of Brian Kenny and Teddy Atlas, ESPN is an abomination as far boxing goes..These guys know jack **** about the sport of boxing. PTI guys are the worst. And Skip Bayless opinion on anything sports related should be taken with a grain of salt. Like alot of ESB members, he lets his bias and hatred of certain athletes cloud his judgement.

 

They budged this past weekend, before the warrior Pacquiao decided to sue instead of fight. USADA doesn't test 48 hours before a sporting event.

 

That may be true but Roach also said that he asked the USADA if they can guarantee that there will be no blood test 24 hours before. USADA was not able to make the guarantee.

 

Skip Bayless is easily the biggest moron ESPN has ever hired...and theyve hired Rush Limbaugh.

 

Last I heard, PBF and crew were pushing for random testing and refusing to rule out that there may be blood testing in the 24 hrs before the fight, and that was a sticking point for the Paquiao camp.

Bottom line: This fight should have been made just like any other fight. It's Mayweather who introduced these difficulties, and they're willing to be sued for defamation before they'll get in the ring under the current accepted rules of the Nevada commission. Which were just fine for every other fight he's ever had. That should tell you something.

In the end, what this looks like, and what history will record this as, is Floyd doesn't want to get in there with Pacquiao. Pac will move on from this and either fight for the 154 lb belt or he'll fight Shane Mosely or he'll fight ****ing Godzilla to the death, and PBF will make a match with Malignaggi or someone even less threatening. This is death to Floyd's legacy.

 

Or "history" will record that Pac would rather pass on a giant payday and secure his legacy than take a blood test. Utterly hilarious that you would mention Floyd fighting Malignaggi when he has been bandied about repeatedly as an opponent for Pac. Floyd should drop the demand and take the fight, but it's not like Pac is talking about moving on to bigger and better challenges. He's talking about taking a paper title from the weakest beltholder at 154, or fighting Malignaggi who has already been beaten by Hatton and Cotto.

Bayless always plays the role of ass, I think that its all about rating with some of the **** that he says.

 

A lot of people watch First Take, even if it's a rather meaningless show. However, the fact that this steroids "story" is shown on this means that Arum and Schafer are doing their jobs right and getting this fight some major, major exposure to the world. This "story" is all about seriously, seriously getting the word out there, because no promoter is willing to let this fight sell itself. They are uncovering every nook and cranny for this one, and it's going to pay off big for everyone. Arum, Schafer, Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Las Vegas especially.

Not to mention that this kind of promotion didn't cost Arum or Schafer a penny (I'm not thinking anything of the lawsuit, which I think Arum masterminded. As far as I'm concerned, all it does is give the fight more facetime on ESPN).
