Allan Green is done and there's no way he can advance, but yet he will get another shot at a title with Kessler, and if he went on to win the fight which I doubt he would leave the tourny with a belt. Why don't we just bring in Bute for a title shot with Kessler and work the rest out later. What do ya think? Do we really need Bute waiting another year to fight the tournys champion? What do ya think EB family
what does Bute have to gain from this? Even if he wins he won't make the semis. I mean its a good fight, but not as part of the super6. Cause the only way Bute could make the semis is to get a KO so he would be forced to push for a KO and its not fair to him. and even with a KO he might not make it in.
It isn't the Super Infinity World Boxing Classic. They can't just keep swapping in boxers whenever one loses badly, that's lame. Things should be seen through as best they can, whether it's anticlimactic or not.
Even if Green doesn't have much of a chance to advance in the semis, he can still try to get the WBC belt from Kessler. That's a motivating factor in itself and if he's lucky enough to beat Kessler, then HBO would surely be glad to stage a unification fight between him and Bute before the end of the Super 6. That winner would then face the Super 6 champ for all the marbles !!
No -- we do not know this, and there is absolutely no gaurantee that such a fight will ever happen. Showtime has options on the tourney winner, and Bute is with HBO.
Ive still not seen Green fight but will take you guys word for it that he isnt good enough to be in the super 6.Bute should probably have been in from the start but i think he gets a little too much credit on here.I dont see Bute giving Kessler too much trouble,i think Kessler is better in every area and would win by late stoppage or big on points. They cant really change the line up again,it would start to become a farce and i cant see Bute wanting to join now anyway so we will have to wait to see Bute fight the winner.
