I am extremely impressed with Canelo. He exemplifies the evolution of the Mexican fighter. He realized that staying with the barbaric form of false machismo that typifies most Mexican fighters would get him no where. He decided to pay homage and study the great slick black fighters and incorporate that into his style. No more coming in and blocking punches with his face like the Mexican greats before him. No more taking 4 shots just to give 1 like his predecessors. But best of all, no more ignorant Mexican fight fans that cry about fighters winning fights by just "running". This is a great moment for boxing. I am a fan of Canelo.

what a ******. Have you seen any other Canelo fight? He fights nothing like you think he does. Hes pretty much a pure boxer mixed with a slugger. Also some of the best technicians ever were mexican ,, the best counter puncher in boxing today ( marquez ) is a mexican.

Who are the five greatest defensive fighters of all-time? :think I immediately think Pep, Pea, Locche, PBF, Benitez instinctively jump to mind although there are other worthy mentions.

Yeah. Cubans would **** all over Mexicans if their country wasn't a communist shithole.

Anyone else see how slick and how black Rigondeaux looked the other week?

The most amazing thing about Canelo is how he just doesnt give a f***. He was so composed and unfazed during the fight, probably something he learned from sparring big boss Golovkin, another slick White boy shaking up the game. He made trout miss entire combos without having to put his elbow in his face like Mayweather would do.

Blacks just need to find a new sport really.
