...and leave PBF out, just to show him that the game goes on without him.

They can also leave an empty slot for Pacquiao to see if Roach is tempted by the opportunity or not.

Mosley, Margarito, Cotto, Clottey, Berto, Quintana.

Only thing is a lot of them have fought each other already, but it would still be good.

I've thought about that but the fighters you have in it are terrible picks. Quintana? It should be Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, Williams, Margarito, and Mayweather (even though you don't want him in it). It would never happen though because Mayweather and Mosley would never agree to it.

If this super 6 tourney is a success and i prey it is, then i think we'll see a lot more similar set ups in the future, I cannot see it happening with established stars though, guys like Mosley, Cotto, Mayweather etc need too much control over their own destiny's, its a shame.

I think Cotto would be willing to do it, he's proven he'll fight anyone.

I think this is bang on, some of the elites with their massive egos won't buy into this as they dont need the exposure. The PBFs and Pacmans of this world dont need these tourneys they have a license to print money whilst they're still winning anyway. But its still a great way to sort out the rest and there are some quality champs and contenders in many weights that would be up for this to take them to that next level.

I don't think it could happen at WW. Quintana probably wants NOTHING to do with Miguel Cotto again and I figure Mosley has no interest in a Quintana fight either. So that eliminates Quintana. Mosley would probably be opposed to fighting Clottey either, especially if he beats Berto this coming Nov.

Essentially I'm not entirely sure how possible we could get it to work.

let's not get too greedy. we're lucky enough to have a 168-pound tourney.

The other thing that separates the 168 tournament from a potential 147 one is that there has already been a decent amount of fights between the top contenders in the latter division. Only Taylor and Froch have faced each other previously.

I agree. With the money and fan interest this has and will generate, i see it happening more. I believe it would be good for the sport. :bbb

No point in having one. Since their is already an established number one at Welterweight in Manny Pacquiao. The welterweight division is fine the way it is.

A Lightweight one would make more sense. Marquez is gone, no legtimate number one in sight. Plus the division is filled with young talent who need exposure.

Guys that I think would agree to such a proposal would undoubtedly be Clottey, PTP, and Margarito because they all seem to have the mentality that they are always needing to prove themselves. I'm not so sure about Mosley, Cotto, and Berto. And you can forget about Mayweather or Pac joining in.

Unless this format really performs superlatively, we should not expect any fighter who is a legitimate PPV attraction to ever agree to such an arrangement. Hopefully, the tournament is a smashing success. That could lead to a fundamental shift in the structure of the sport.
