Pacquiao brought up the 'out-of-ordinary' 10 mil for every lbs. Floyd accepted his unprecedented request so pac could have returned the favor.. they both blew it though because i guarantee that just about every poster on ESB could have handle the disputes a lot better than those PROFESSIONALS

I'm not ignoring anything. Why can't you step back and look at it without bias? Both made demands, both didn't want to budge (accepting part of the demand is not budging). Either one of them could have easily made this fight happen - neither one did; therefore, neither really wanted the fight.

The 10 million was the unprecedented part.

    Concessions?

this has all gone down the drain because Pac and his camp wanted cutoff dates for the random testing. Random is random and both fighters would have been subject to the same conditions.

    Simple as that.

If he was really pissed off then what better revenge than to make the fight happen and go in there and beat the **** out of him? :bbb

    Who ****ing cares!

The fight was never feasable for the March 13th date any way! This was always gonna be an event that required at least 6 months to promote. For it to be the biggest fight ever, and for it to reach the mass sporting audience, it must be set at a later date (somewhere near the end of 2010). There's more money to be made that way.

So chill out guys, you're acting as if this fight will never take place. So what if we have to wait a few more months. At least we get to see one more fight out of these two before they retire.

It's obvious to me that you're the one that isnt looking at things clearly.

The weight penalty was warranted because PBF absolutely took advantage of JMM. Not only by coming 2 pounds over, he had the contract re-written and shoved down JMM's throat, accept or no fight. The rules of normal contracts stipulate that the fighter who is over must lose the weight or suffer. With the new midnight contract, PBF skates off free and clear for a few hundred grand in penalties when he will earn tens of millions in a few hours.

Is that fair? How does Manny protect himself from this? The 10m penalty achieves this, which forces Floyd to play fairly and make the weight. If you can't see it for what it is, it's clearly you that cannot or will not look at this with fairness.

The blood testing on the other hand unlike the weight penalty, has no precedent. This was brought up out of the blue. There is no history of Manny and steroids, not one bit, and suddenly out of the blue take random blood testing or else?

Which of those two is unreasonable I ask you then?

^I can agree with this. Fight will happen, just not in March like we were all wanting...

6 months to promote? It's been a couple of weeks and everybodys talking about it. I really don't think the fight will happen now. After Foreman, Pac's running for president. If he wins, I doubt he'll continue fighting.

Floyd did screw Marquez, and I've said repeatedly that he's a dirtbag for that. However, he and Pac were contracting at the WW limit (not a catchweight). Floyd has never missed the WW limit. Regardless, Floyd agreed to the penalty so the 10 mil is really a non issue.

Pac requested that penalty to make sure Floyd didn't cheat. Correct? And Floyd requested blood tests to make sure Manny didn't cheat. Correct?

OK, Pac never tested positive, but neither did Shane. I can agree that Foyds request was more out of the ordinary, but none of this changes the fact that if Pac accepted, the fight would be on. Also, if Floyd dropped the request the fight would be on. Neither were willing to step back from their stance.

Take off your nuthugger glasses. You've already accepted that Manny is a cheater w/o any proof. You've lumped Manny in with Mosley. Accepting what Mayweather says at face value is totally dishonest and illogical.

You're defining yourself as a ***** and you just don't see it.

C'mon mate, don't be deterred by this issue.

These drug testing requirements were/are a big deal right? So don't you think it's a little strange how they'd leave such a thing at the very last minute? I mean they can agree the purse, the ring size, the gloves, everything you can mention.....but they forget to mention the drug testing until the end? Sounds fishy to me.

This whole thing has become so tiresome now, that I don't think we should bother wasting our time and effort, stressing and blaming the parties involved. The fight will happen. Only it'll be later rather than sooner.

You're a ****ing idiot. I have never said Manny is a cheater. Who's the nuthugger? I have said BOTH ****ed this fight up. You will not take eyes off of Pac's balls long enough to see that both of them killed the fight.
