In the UK, it s a big fight, because AJ is involved.
Nobody in the UK knows Wilder.
The minority who do know him largely discredit him for the same reasons the majority of posters on here do.
There is more money for AJ in other fights than Wilder, and the blame lies with Wilder for that.
Every AJ fight is a big fight, Wilder isnt a draw in his own town never mind a different continent.

No , they do know Wilder. You're a casual and all you talk about is Joshua and Wilder.

Sky would build the fight up as undisputed and portray Wilder as the second coming of George Foreman . It would be massive.

There is a clear marketability for fights like AJ v Fury, even Parker/Whyte winner next year, especially if those fights are in the UK to build Parker.

What are they gonna market Wilder with?

"Deontay Wilder WBC HW Champ from the USA - 40 fights, no names on his record worth talking about - he was going to fight Povetkin though. But that never happened so emm, yeah, thats about it really. Oh yeah, ducked Dillian Whyte! Buy now for £19.95"

Way more money if he makes himself creditable.

to be fair the casuals will see the 40-0 record and be like 'what a great fight for Aj to end this guys amazing unbeaten run!' when the casuals won't know that wilder hasn't fought anyone good

Its not. Whether you like it or not he is largely unknown, thats justa fact. His name gets punted about on Sky Sports but nobody knows anything about him except he argued with Tony Bellew. They have to have an angle to market him with, cos when anyone bothers to delvde deeper into his record they will be appalled.

    He's not unkown.

He has big numbers on IFL. The video with him and Bellew has over a million views. The casuals know who he is.

Oh it would sell, dont get me wrong it would sell. But its got the potential to be ridiculous, and doing ti before Wilder has a decent profile is a waste of that potential.

Wilder the second coming of George Foreman. Can you not see how thats humorous when were discussing a guy that has had 39 fights and doesnt have anyone better than a Stiverne UD n his record? Comparing him to an ATG like Foreman?

In the UK, compared to say Klitschko, Joshuas last fight. Wilder is unknown. On Joshuas level he is unknown.
Now im happy to admit the only person anywhere near that level of "being known" is going to be Tyson Fury.
However if Parker beats Hughie Fury, then beats Whyte, both in front of UK fans, then calls out Joshua, or if Whyte wins, and calls out Joshua for a unification and rubber match Sorry, thats the bigger money fight than Wilder calling out joshua on Instagram after beating Stiverne in a rematch.

Ok well suggesting Wilder, someone with a padded 40 fight record against nobodies, best win a UD V Stiverne, can be realistically and successfully marketed to the public as the second coming of George Foreman is insane. Even some of the casuals wont buy into that.
