I have said in a few post that I don't put a lot of stock into things fighters say. I believe most of them say things and not mean it for headlines, or they have just fought and in the immediate post fight interview they say things while still on a rush from the fight. These are not exact quotes--paraphrased by me. But they are pretty much widely known. Feel free to add anymore. I'm sure it is a long list. GGG: I'll fight anyone from 154-168 (has only ever fought at 160) Ward: I'll fight Floyd at 160 (ridicules claim--though for the $ most probably would) I'll fight Klitschko Hunter: Ward will be a HW champ one day (just now moving into LHW) Mayweather: I'll fight the winner of my fan poll (fought the loser of the poll) I'm retired (twice) (Came back the first time, fair chance he comes back again) Paq: I'm retired (fair chance he comes back) Lewis: I'll give him a rematch (Retired 8-9 months later) Hopkins: No white boy will ever beat me (lost that fight, and later another to a "white boy") Canelo: I'll fight the best as MW champ (fought Kahn in his first defense--who no one considers even top 5 WW)
