He might watch him if I lied about his record and his weight, but as soon as he'd see Rojas in action he'd say ''Look at the size of the little *******, hes fcuking tiny!''
Chatting about the Haye-Klit fight with a mate I said that Wlad has been champ for 6 years & he said Wlad will definately win I then said he has lost to journeymen & a semi-pro golfer & he completely changed his mind
sportofkings. My dad is just like that. Knows nothing about boxing. When the announcer is on...if he sees a guy with 4 or 5 losses he's ****. I think he said Hopkins must be crap. If a guy is unbeaten he's a God and he can't possibly lose to a guy that has losses.
My brother in law the other week "Boxing's not really a sport, is it? It's just men trying to punch each other" Had to bite my tongue!
A mate started talking about Haye/Wlad and then he came out with "I think Haye would knock Calzaghe out"
"he is shite i could knock him out" no just no you fat git your out of breath ordering a takeaway.idiots that claim boxing is dead and mma is the future or more real without knowing a thing about either annoy me
I would rather watch boxing on my own, and then logged onto eastside boxing. And have some banter here...... I don't know if its just me, but i feel like smashing "Normal peoples faces in" when they start talking about boxing.
To be fair when you have a sport where itself can't even decide on the real champion, it's easy to get a little confused.
I now only watch boxing with people who 'know' boxing. Luckily I have several mates who are well informed enough not to make stupid comments. They receive weekly coaching from myself when I post fights for them to watch on their facebook walls. Getting names wrong really fcuks me off, some bird on facebook kept putting David HayeS...needless to say she got deleted. The whole 'playing' thing winds me the fcuk up also. I put up with the whole 'hatton's gonna smash mayweather/pacman in a round with a bodyshot' for too long, it drove me insane. It's going the same way with Haye. I have a mate who always goes on about gatti/ward thinking that by watching their fights literally 30 times and then talking about specific parts of specific rounds he will look intelligent and catch me out. Lack of boxing knowledge from others is the bane of my life.
