Things I noticed watching the TV AZTECA telecast

    1. The announcers are amazing how they incorporate an ad every 10 seconds.

    2. There is a shitload of ads. I guess that's how it's free in Mexico.

    3. The announcers make the fight more interesting.

    4. The announcers are realist. Yes they are HOMERS but in that they are realist when their man is losing. JCC was spot on giving credit to pacquiao because he was controlling the fight. Unlike HBO they are not HOMERS they have AGENDAS which produces ackward silence when a punch lands from the "wrong" fighter.

    5. Marco Antonio Barrera is a hater, they showed the replay of the announcers reaction and he had not emotion at All.

    I watched the HBO broadcast but just an example I made up of how Azteca Boxing works.

    "wow, that fighter is tough. Tough like the brand new 2012 Chevy Pickup"

    Totally agree on most points...

    The amount of advertsing is overwhelming. The fight is played with a significant delay so that they can accomodate all the advertising. It sucks but it´s free, so we just have to deal with that...

    I do think they are homers to a significant degree. I mean, they gave the first round to JMM, and I just can´t see how that´s possible unless you are a homer. But yes, in the 5th and most of the 6th, when JMM was getting pummeled, they were acknowledging it...so I guess they are not completely blind.

    An regarding Barrera, it was just surreal when they showed the commentators reactions to the one punch KO. They were all jumping and cheering and Barrera was just sitting down, completely aloof to what had just happened. They guy was just full of envy and majorly pissed off that JMM KO´d Pac...unbelievable

    TVAzteca boxing commentators are some of the worst and most biased ever. The only one who knows something about boxing (not counting former fighters) is Lamazón, but he's such a lame brown nosing pendejo.

    I said they are HOMERS yes but they see reality. They have their emotions invested in the fight.

    HBO commentators don't care emotionally they are just their doing a job lead by an AGENDA, that is way worse.
