For me it has to be the shows that they put on in Germany, when the fighters walk in and there is some greesy cheesy 80's throw back rock band playing taking all the life out of the challenger who has been standing on the White over sanitised canvas for 15 minutes wondering what the **** is going on.
Seeing a come forward fighter follow his guy all day and never cut off the ring. Christ, they dont charge you for doing it, its free.
The #1 thing that used to make me cringe was Larry Merchant being downright confrontational with whoever the 3rd ****yst was alongside him and Lampley. Often times he was right, but he had such an unpleasant manner of getting his point across that it often made the rest of the broadcast a little uncomfortable. I don't usually mind Merchant or pay him too much attention but he also bothered me in his post-fight interviews when he never seemed able to give anyone wholehearted credit without parsing it in some way (except maybe Erik Morales). Though I have to admit, after watching that sham of an interviewer on PBC call the Stevenson-Bika fight 'epic' all I could think about was what a better job Merchant would have done at asking questions people gave a hoot about.
Anybody with any worth would not give Stevenson the time of day, that could be something else that makes me cringe, Adonis pimp Stevenson
There was a time when he was one of the most exciting fighters in the world in my book. He's lost a lot of my respect, if not all, since then.
Loyal fans who don't give credit to other boxers. Like, I prefer Pacman for his style but I love Mayweather also. The choosing sides makes me cringe.
