When fighters come into the ring at two divisions higher than they weighed in at.

 

Yeah, that's lame. Paying off their opponent for weighing in above the contractually stipulated maximum is even lamer.

 

There are instances where the fighter just can't make the weight in a healthy fashion. In those situations, I don't have a problem with the fighter paying a penalty if his opponent agrees. I would have rather seen Dawson pay a penalty against Ward than make the weight and come into the ring a zombie.

 

I'd rather they just reschedule.

Some fighters use it way too much. jab jab grab. This is not boxing. this is not defense. Sometimes they don't even punch... just lunge out and hug.
