That at the most, Pacquiao's effectiveness can be limited by fighters who run and come to survive. I always knew he doesn't deal to well with these type of fighters, but like I've said in another thread, he can't exactly be bashed for this. When a fighter is as negative as Shane was last night, any fighter can be made to look ordinary.

However, my worries about Pacquiao not being able to cut off the ring were reinforced last night. But again, if he's not being made to pay for it, it's not that bad. Mayweather will have something to say about this, though.

If you paid for this garbage you paid exactly for what you received.

Now, If this does well PPV-wise considering it was heavily advertised during March Madness how far back does it set the Sport? Boxing fans can deal with one bad PPV, general consumers not so much.

It was strange to me that Manny was able to hurt Shane like that. Shane described Manny's punching power as 'different', and the kind he had not felt before, although they weren't physically strong... just weird to me really. I wonder if its the velocity of the punches.

In any case, other than Pacquiao obviously having the kind of power he has, I think what I have been arguing was clear tonight; Manny's output drops when he doesn't have a standstill target to hit. Mosley didn't throw many punches but he showed some movement and was able to make Manny miss. I didn't really see any clean punches land for Shane that could have put Manny in trouble, but that was more due to Shane being on the defensive than Manny being elusive.

after round 3, shane was simply backpedalling and made sure his right hand was protecting his right side. that's he was not able to use his right for fear of being hit with the left of pac. when get's close he clinched. shane did what he has to do to avoid being ko'd. he was looking for one big shot but it never came.

  7. Manny under performed big time. Looking tired half way through with only flashes of his usual ability to move and put together Those combos at all angles

It's hard to make adjustments when you have someone who isn't willing to take risk! And PAC MADE Shane adjust his gameplan which has to be accredited to PAC. Floyd adjusted after he got rocked in the 2nd round in his fight with Shane, but wasn't able to get him out of there even though Shane wasn't pulling the trigger and right there in front of him....

PAC has a bigger challenge in trying to perform b/c after the KD, Shane was content on staying away. PAC did waht he could and did more damage than Floyd was able to do against the same man.

    1. clinching and running, not good enough to beat Pacquiao(watch out Floyd) 2. Hopkins was wrong, its not about the color of the skin. 3. Bring back Mexican opponents for Pac, they have the heart and the warriors mentality therefore more exciting to watch.

Pac is truly a hype job. No need for Floyd to ask for OSDT and avoid the fight any longer.
