1) Very expensive to follow. 2) Too many belts (titles) 3) Robberies (scoring for moving backwards without landing in one fight and scoring for moving forwards without landing in another.) 4) Am beginning to think extending the rounds back to fifteen instead of 12 will answer many of the questions as to who is actually winning or loosing. Of course doctors and trainers need to be involved and promotors as well so we will have no mismatches.
That was a great year. This year will be better. I am glad Mayweather fights dlh again as I really want to see Margo/Cotto more than anything.
2009's fight of the year, but god forbid he doesnt fight him immediately after Hatton even though Cotto has his year full. Hes the champ, he fights contenders on his timetable. Hes earned that privilege. It will happen in 2009, and the division will be so positioned where only Cotto and FMJ are left, and the winner will claim ultimate supremacy and an ultimate payday.
I think Cotto/Floyd will happen after Margo/ Cotto but it is Cotto's fight with Margo that will be in the Hearns/Hagler, Duran/Leonard 1, Mosley/DLH 1 realm.

Yeah current H/W division Ignorant fans who cant appreciate some of the more subtle positives to the sport (althought this is not exclusive to boxing) Sob-stories ("I had it so tough as a kid") PPV Having to travel to the states to see the best fights (I like going the states its just expensive to get out there!)
there should be a limit to what these fighters are getting, it avoids "ducking someone in exchange for a higher purse"...Championship fights should have fixed purses..
fighters being 'exposed' after they lose/don't win convincingly. A loss shouldn't set a career back years. Otherwise why would any fighter EVER take any risks in agreeing to fights?
