Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I dig the fact that I walk the streets where Bowe, Tyson and several others once were. If they were relevant today, I'd be all over it. If a new guy like that came up, I'd be excited, along with people all over the world. He's playing basketball or football instead. It's just ridiculous to me when it's obvious that a person puts their country before thought and everything else. "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel." A Brit said that. People are people, fighters are fighters, it's a sport. There seems to be a disparity in understanding between UK and US fans on this board, and it boggles my mind. I hope that this will increase understanding.
Yep, I like boxers from all over the globe. Just looking at the demographics of it, you could say boxing is actually entering a golden age, as opposed to "dying".
why fighting of the back foot is "running" but getting into a war is the definition of a "true boxer"
I'd draw blood for 40 million, f*ck I'm poor. But let's say I'm worth more than 40 million. I've also had experienced weakness by giving blood a day before a fight which probably had a factor in my only defeat in a decade. Then my potential opponent and his father start accusing me of PEDs use to the entire world without any documentable proof (although I've passed 10 previous commission tests) and then demands for me to be blood tested, not once, but as many times an agency would want up til the day of the fight. I guess to some people, it's worth throwing a fight for 40 million. Pacquiao's nickname is not "Money".
Im a Brit and tend to like Brit fighters more, because i see more on our TV and watch them from when they start off. Not to say they are my favorite fighters. I wonder why there are not more people who are fans of both Floyd and Manny, who just want to see a great fight between by far the best to fighters of our generation.
