last weekend katsidis and casamayor put on a great fight , honestly it was my first time seeing katsidis, but he's won me over as a fan, i hope there is a rematch at some point . i hope they show katsidis fight again on hbo or showtime the guy comes to fight and doesn't quit, it just sucks that he jumped in on casa like that in the 10th. but i would love to see a rematch but w/ casa talking about fighting cambell it wouldn't happen any time soon , what does anyone else think ?
it was a great fight, but Katsidis takes too much punishment. There will be no rematch, and Mike will now be on the downslide.That kayo, along with all the trauma he suffered in some of his wins, has done him no good.Katsidis will get another HBO shot, but his career is destined to be a short one.
I don't think there will be a rematch, as Casa is looking for big money fights now that he is at the end of his career. Katsidis wone me over as a fan due to his heart and determination. I'm sure he'll get another HBO or Showtime date, but he should stay away from heavy punchers if he wants to prolong his career.
FlatNose, it looked like he did ok as long as he kept his right hand up to protect his chin if he hadn't jumped in at casa like he did i think he could of won , but damn he has heart and he's a pressure fighter which makes him exciting. do you think a different trainer would help w/ his defense ?
I don't think the rematch will happen anytime soon. Casamayor has much bigger money fights on the table with possible fights with Pacquiao and Campbell looming. Plus, I don't think Casamayor is in a hurry to go through a war like that again with a younger fighter like Katsidis. I think that Katsidis should take a couple of months off to heal up properly. Then comeback and fight somebody like Edner Cherry at the end of the year.
I don't think so. Casamayor is getting old and he wants bigger fights for more money. no point fighting a guy that he beat so handily
