Think Vitali can knock Briggs cold??

One sided beating like Arreola, is my prediction.

 

Vitali does not commit to his punches enough to knock people out cold. He probably could if he wanted to, but his style is to thud people with medium-hard punches until they can't take it anymore.

 

Agree with Hewitt. He's a powerful arm puncher who doesn't fully commit to his punches.

no i dont think a man as big as briggs can be knocked out cold by someone who punches the way vitali does.

i see it going a bit like sanders. briggs will obviously try catching vitali cold. vitali will avoid his big shots, land a couple of his own, and then wear him down in the way he so often does.

probably a couple of knockdowns but i envision a standing stoppage.

Briggs is going to finally expose that glass chin of Vitali.
He can't keep Briggs at bay with his jab like he can with smaller opposition.

I'd bet on a steady beat-down. With how quickly Briggs gasses out, it's possible that Vitali could push for an early stoppage but, even then, I don't see him laying Shannon out cold. As others have pointed out, he's not that kind of puncher.

This fight will be a wonderful example of how average awful Vitali and Wlad are, and how plain embarrasing the division they rule actually is.

Lennox Lewis destroyed Shannon Briggs like a plain bum in 1998. So one sided, the guy should have never got a title shot again.

Like, 9 years later he's pushing Ibrahimovic all the way, and facing Vitali?

There's not much between a 37 year old Shannon Briggs and a prime Ibrahimovic.

Look how Lewis dealt with a PRIME Briggs compared to Wlad making Sultan I look like a pretty good fighter

 

Lewis made guys like Briggs look like what they actually are.

The bottomline is Briggs has a good chin, Vitali doesnt punch with 100% conviction, and Briggs has a solid punch but lacks stamina.
