    don't we?

he maybe able to school the latest american hype job but we all know that if he fought calzaghe without holding like a girl, without faining low blows for a breather, and without the help of a corrupt ref, then hopkins would have been schooled just like RJJ.

Actually I think if he was more active and did less holding, he would have got the points decision. The main reason Calzaghe got the points was because of activity. He wasn't hurting the old guy, never threatened the chin. Hopkins is a smart fighter, but he wasn't smart enough on the night.

he fought that way because thats the best strategy to beat calzaghe. Slow his pace down almost to a stop frustrate him and counter him. If you let calzaghe settle into a rhythm like last night hes a lot harder to counter because he doesnt throw as wide whenever he gets in trouble he resorts to winging his punches and squaring up. Just watch last nights fight and ask yourself did we see calzaghe get off like that against hopkins in his last fight and the answer is no because bernard employed the best strategy he could to try and beat him. You'd be crazy to go in there and try and outwork and outpunch calzaghe because he can punch all day long.
Even richie woodhall said roy jones should take a leaf out of hopkins playbook and try and slow the pace down and its because it was very effective on the night.

i agree in the first few round when he was throwing in combinations on the inside it offset and upset calzaghes rhythm and calzaghe never really counterpunched him. Calzaghe wasnt able to get off if hopkins threw combinations and thats what roach was saying in the corner

But the more Hopkins opened up (if had of done) would have let Joe have a chance to get off and make B-Hop work.

Calzaghe seems to have grown into the weight better and if they rematch i can see Calzaghe via decision again over B-Hop.
