The "tuner" basically turned every fighter into a flailing idiot with feet made of lead. The whole thing was so slow and just turned into a counter-fest, because why bother with any other style?

280 quid out of 300k with 32 days to go.. Not sure its going to make it tbh. They need to make a forum.. To get people buzzing for it.

I want this project to succeed, but I'm very wary of them making a game that lives up to its potential, without major backing of some kind. I can easily envisage this game being one of those instances of a great idea that's playable, but which is maybe a 6 or a 7/10, lacking polish and refinement.

Yes it does, but the game doesn't exist yet so it's just a model we're looking at. An artist's impression so to speak.

300k seems like a lot compared to other kickstarter games, can't see it getting anywhere near that amount

I enjoyed Champion and found it to be a fluid and quite realistic boxing game whilst staying away from the awful online part. Though when I did try it I made a record of 20-2 just windmilling with Tyson

I think it's just lacking something really snappy to get people's interest. The sloppy writing on the page migh put some people off since it looks a little amateur.

Finally completed Champion mode today after probably 100 attempts at beating that Isaac Frost. Only reason I beat him in the end is someone told me to go to settings and just turn the power meter to zero so he can't hurt you. Such a ****, unrealistic end boss. Guy made Prime Tyson look like a *****.

You could tell that EA forced Champion mode onto the developers. It was a clear marketing tool and they included it at the expense of things that fans genuinely wanted.

The Legacy mode is awful. No sense of progression once you get to a certain level. I hated the fact that your fighter, apparently a top amateur, is about the same as the novices he fights early in his career.

    And the countering... UGH!

Yeah legacy mode is what I cared about the most but it's ****. Can only move up one weight class and you're still fighting guys with journeyman type records even when you've made it as the GOAT. End up fighting the same opponents like 6 times 'cause there's no one else left to fight. Way too easy even on the hardest difficulty setting. It's a shame, 'cause it really could've been something great. I actually feel it's gone backwards. Fight night round 3 was probably more challenging.

I sold that game.. Just cbb with it dissapointing.. They needed to have realostic features on leagacy mode.. Press conferences, weigh-ins.. AN ACTUAL TRAINING CAMP. They also needed to generate new fighters every year and at least two of them would become world class.. So you dont have to face the same guys everytime. Theres alot of things they could and should've done..

Fight Night 2004 was, in many ways, the best. Total punch control, realistic in-ring action, no overpowered haymakers and OTT counters and your fighter aged realistically.

But boy has EA managed to **** it up. Rather than getting more realistic it's become more and more comical. All those licensing dollars could have been better spent on making it playable.
