Berwela on the come-up! Now 3-2 in his last five fights and his two best wins EVER have come in this five-fight stretch (Pabustan and Matsali).

So there's a walkout bout, apparently - either an exhibition or amateur bout, as they're wearing headgear.

As per usual, there's one guy in M-150 red & yellow, with the opponent in blue & white.

Yeah, those and his close trilogy with Bert Udtohan (for whom Berwala is actually sparring partner, when they're not rivals) stand as his best results. Even if never tops it, this was quite a result - both for the way he shut up the Pathum Thani crowd that were clearly expecting him to be dog meat, and the way he pounded some humility into Matsali (especially the swift & violent punishment for that showboating at the end)

Another one, this one a sanctioned pro match. No headgear.

Red & yellow versus blue & white. Names unknown, weights unknown, fight length TBD.

Could be another upset brewing for "Team Blue and White" (aka the foreigners they force to wear the less prestigious laundry, while the homers all get the honor of being sponsored by M-150).

Never mind, within 30 seconds that prediction got turned on its ear. Red & Yellow was getting worked for a minute but rallied and destroyed the outsider with a series of whip-snap uppercuts, throwing his entire reedy body into them.

The ring announcer sounded like he said "WBC" in his spiel there congratulating the victor (among the few English words you'll hear on these broadcasts, they are easily recognized & stand out) so this was probably for some minor title as well. Should be on BoxRec tomorrow. Currently they have nothing but the main event listed on the entire page for this card. Pretty typical, usually they get (or at least provide) minimal information ahead of time.

Also, they incorrectly have this card as listed to air on Ch.3 instead of 7. Whoops. Feel bad for any suckers that were hunting down a Channel 3 stream going off bad intel from BR.

Jeez... yet another fight?? Isn't this broadcast over in 10 minutes? Probably tape-delayed footage of a quick savage KO then. Eyes peeled.

Yep. Ugggggggh. That was nasty. Minute-long blitzkrieg, absolutely heinous body attack. The poor victim is probably going to be literally puking blood backstage. Had his lungs smashed in repeatedly - and bravely rose from a knockdown only to suffer some more.

I don't think a single headshot was fired.

    KO1.

Actually a very entertaining card overall. Wish I knew the names of ¾ of the participants but hey.

S***, I didn't realize Thiranan Matsali aka Saenganan KKP was actually Saenganan Sithsaithong, I'd been meaning to do a thread on him for the last two years, I saw him a few times back when moparfan had his fantasy league going, but lost track, oh well, its a good thing that I didn't do one I guess. Seeing the result.

This was the very textbook definition of man versus boy. As of a month ago, Matsali was half Berwela's age.

Another cautionary tale in boxing - no matter how pretty a record you have, or how ugly the other guy's - if he is more experienced and has fought a much higher class than you have, be respectful and don't get cocky.

I was experiencing that half dead head falling forward violently drunken stupor type of tired, like your body literally giving out, so I wouldn't have been able to process what was going on anyway.

Yeah he actually had a lot of hype from the Asian boxing twitter hipsterati...a locomotive that just got derailed via dynamite.

His ring name, or alias or whatever, Saenganan, means "Infinite Light", which is super pompous so I'm glad he was brought down to earth.

Meanwhile, it occurred to me - is Berwela's nickname a play on the expression "tomato can"? Like a self-deprecating nod to his own shoddy W-L record? Because if so I am officially a Kamitis superfan.

Worth sniffing out even knowing the result, just plug "แสงอนันต์" into YT in the morning.
